Urging the implementation of key tasks after the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year holiday
On March 16, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Van Luong signed to issue Document No. 2485/UBND-CNN&XD on requesting departments, boards, sectors and People's Committees of communes and wards to focus on seriously and synchronously deploying key tasks and solutions after the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year holiday according to the spirit of Directive No. 06/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister and the directions of the Provincial Party Committee.

Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee requested agencies, units and localities to continue thoroughly grasping and effectively implementing the guidelines and directions of the Central administration, the Government, the Prime Minister, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People’s Council and the Provincial People’s Committee on socio-economic development; especially the tasks and solutions for achieving economic growth targets and the state budget estimates for 2026. Units are required to proactively monitor the situation, strengthen analytical and forecasting capacity and promptly advise and propose appropriate management solutions in line with practical conditions.

At the same time, sectors and localities are tasked with effectively stabilizing the market after the Tet holiday; strengthening price control, combating smuggling and trade fraud; and ensuring the balance of supply and demand of goods, particularly essential commodities serving production and people’s daily needs. They must also enhance financial and budgetary discipline, use resources economically and efficiently, accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital and prioritize key projects and works.

The Provincial People’s Committee also requested units to continue fully implementing social security policies, taking care of people with meritorious services, the elderly, people with disabilities, children in special circumstances and other vulnerable groups. In parallel, efforts should be intensified to implement the Project on developing science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in Thai Nguyen Province for the 2026–2030 period; improve the efficiency of online public services, simplify administrative procedures and create favorable conditions for people and businesses.

The Provincial People's Committee assigns the Department of Finance to preside over strengthening budget revenue management, preventing revenue loss, especially in the e-commerce field and new business activities, administering budget expenditures strictly, prioritizing resources for key infrastructure projects and growth-promoting tasks. At the same time, accelerating the detailed allocation and assignment of the 2026 public investment capital plan and striving for disbursement to reach 100% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister.

The Department of Industry and Trade is tasked with promoting production and business activities immediately after the Tet holiday, supporting enterprises in expanding markets and diversifying export markets, strengthening price control, combating smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and ensuring the supply of essential commodities. Meanwhile, the Department of Agriculture and Environment is responsible for closely monitoring agricultural production, proactively preventing and controlling diseases in crops and livestock; managing and protecting forests and ensuring the safety of irrigation works and reservoirs.

Other departments and sectors, including the Department of Construction, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Health, the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Science and Technology and the Department of Home Affairs, along with the Provincial Police, the Provincial Military Command and relevant agencies, are also assigned specific tasks to ensure socio-economic stability, maintain security and order, improve service quality, enhance public healthcare, ensure traffic safety and effectively implement development tasks in 2026.

The Provincial People’s Committee requires agencies and units to promptly begin work from the first working days of the year, strictly observe administrative discipline, refrain from spring outings or festival participation during working hours, proactively grasp the situation and promptly remove difficulties for businesses and people, striving to comprehensively fulfill all socio-economic development targets and indicators for 2026.
