At the working session, Mr. Su Peng, Director in charge of the Northern Regional Director of Muyuan Foods High-Tech Livestock Group, briefly introduced the enterprise. Accordingly, Muyuan Foods was established in 1992 in China and currently operates more than 1,200 farms across 24 provinces and cities in the country. In Vietnam, Muyuan plans to invest in a modern pig farming project with a total capital of approximately USD 150–200 million. The project will include a synchronized system of wastewater treatment facilities such as anaerobic biogas tanks, biological filtration tanks and biological ponds. Treated wastewater will meet discharge standards, with part of it reused for irrigation; solid waste will be processed into organic fertilizer for agricultural use, contributing to circular agriculture; and all treatment processes will comply with environmental protection standards.

After listening to Thai Nguyen Province introducing its potential, advantages and suitable human resources for agricultural development projects, Muyuan representatives expressed their desire for the province’s support to ensure smooth project implementation. Specifically, they proposed assistance in selecting a scientifically appropriate site for the livestock farm; handling procedures for land approval and land-use conversion; developing infrastructure systems including roads, electricity and telecommunications; carrying out environmental impact assessment procedures and construction permits; and establishing a regular coordination mechanism to facilitate Project implementation.

Speaking at the working session, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan hoped that Muyuan Foods High-Tech Livestock Group would soon deploy the Project in Thai Nguyen. During the implementation process, they should pay attention to researching and linking the Project with the development of raw material areas, creating jobs for local laborers, contributing to promoting the province's socio-economic development in a sustainable direction. He also assigned related departments, sectors and localities to proactively coordinate, provide full information and guide the enterprise to complete procedures in accordance with regulations; and review land funds, planning and infrastructure to propose suitable locations, ensuring the feasibility and effectiveness of the Project.
