According to the report of Department of Industry and Trade, 500 kV Hiep Hoa - Thai Nguyen power line Project is invested by National Power Transmission Corporation, having a total length of about 28.7 km, of which the section passing through Thai Nguyen province is 27.5 km long. The project has a total investment of over VND 1,271 billion, expected to be implemented in the 2026 - 2027 period. This is a work of important significance in strengthening power transmission capacity, ensuring safe and stable power supply for the region and serving socio-economic development.

Through practical review, some route sections passing through the province still overlap with the planning of industrial parks and urban areas. Specifically, the power line intersects the planning of Phuc Thuan 1 Industrial Park and Thanh Cong 1 Industrial Park. Based on the opinions of departments, sectors, localities and related units, the consulting unit proposed a plan to locally adjust the route alignment to limit impacts on the planning, while ensuring technical requirements and operational safety.

At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing and clarifying contents related to the route alignment, adjustment plans, suitability with industrial and urban development planning as well as technical, environmental and site clearance factors.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Bui Van Luong emphasized the requirement to select the optimal route alignment plan based on an overall vision, ensuring harmony between national energy infrastructure development goals and the province's socio-economic development strategy. In addition, these entities must agree on the orientation of adjusting the route alignment along the regional linkage axis to effectively promote development space and create room for attracting investment and industrial development.

He assigned Department of Industry and Trade, Management Board of Industrial Parks and localities where the Project passes through to continue coordinating closely with the investor. They are required to urgently perfect the plan on a scientific and synchronous basis, suitable with Provincial Planning for the 2021 - 2030 period, vision to 2050, thereby ensuring deployment on schedule, improving investment efficiency and ensuring long-term sustainability.
