In attendance were Comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan, Member of the Party Central Executive Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee; and leaders of provincial departments, agencies and localities.

At the Conference, delegates focused their discussions and deliberations on numerous important matters, including: a Report on the results of the provincial Party Committee's political task implementation in the first quarter and the objectives and tasks for the second quarter of 2026; a Report on selected activities in the leadership and direction work of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; a Report on the results of implementing the 20 schemes of the Provincial Party Executive Committee on socio-economic development, national defense and security, Party building and political system development for the 2026 - 2030 period; a Report on the organization of elections for National Assembly deputies of the 16th Legislature and People's Council delegates at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term; a Report on the results of implementing Resolution No. 11-NQ/TU dated February 3, 2025 of the Provincial Party Executive Committee on the development of Thai Nguyen tea industry for the 2025 - 2030 period; and a Comprehensive Report on the results of implementing 09 Politburo Resolutions, comprising: Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW, Resolution No. 66-NQ/TW, Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW, Resolution No. 70-NQ/TW, Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW, Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW, Resolution No. 79-NQ/TW and Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW.

In addition, delegates concentrated their discussions and deliberations on a Report on the progress of implementing investment projects funded by both state budget and non-state budget capital within the province; a Report on the results of formulating and adjusting Thai Nguyen Province's Master Plan for the 2021 - 2030 period, with a vision to 2050; and a Report on the progress of implementing projects within the flood and inundation prevention infrastructure system in the provincial center area.

Comrade Trinh Xuan Truong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, delivers directing remarks at the Conference

In his directing remarks at the Conference, Comrade Trinh Xuan Truong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, acknowledged and commended the sense of responsibility and the rigorous preparation of advisory agencies, as well as the dedicated and candid contributions of the delegates. He affirmed that in the first quarter of 2026, the Provincial Party Executive Committee effectively fulfilled its role in providing comprehensive leadership and direction, synchronously implementing all assigned tasks and achieving many important results across various fields; socio-economic development continued to maintain its growth momentum, national defense and security were upheld and Party building recorded positive progress.

Emphasizing tasks for the coming time, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee required Party committees, government bodies, agencies and units at all levels to concentrate intensively on leadership, direction and implementation, ensuring clarity regarding assigned personnel, tasks, responsibilities, timelines and expected results. In particular, it is necessary to accelerate the implementation of key projects, improve the efficiency of public investment capital utilization and attract non-budget investment, treating these as important drivers of growth. He called for strengthening administrative discipline and order, tightening the accountability of heads of organizations and resolutely overcoming the tendencies of avoidance, buck-passing and delays in task execution; and for improving the quality of advisory work and forecasting to ensure proactive and flexible leadership and management. With regard to planning and urban development, he required strict management and efficient utilization of approved planning schemes in conjunction with sustainable development and synchronized infrastructure, particularly the flood and inundation prevention system in the provincial center area.
