According to the Plan, the provincial-level Launching Ceremony is expected to be held from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on March 22, 2026 at Van Xuan Square (Van Xuan ward). The event is expected to attract around 8,000 participants, including representatives of provincial leaders, departments, agencies, mass organizations, armed forces, universities, colleges, professional secondary schools, pupils, students, sports clubs, workers and a large number of local residents.

The Launching Ceremony is organized to practically welcome the success of the 14^th National Party Congress; celebrate the 80^th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27, 1946 - March 27, 2026) and the 95^th anniversary of the founding of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2026). At the same time, it aims to continue promoting the campaign " All people exercise following the example of the great Uncle Ho" and encourage all strata of the People to actively participate in physical training and sports, improving health to serve learning, labor, production and national defense.

The program includes two main contents: The Launching Ceremony of the Olympic Run Day for public health - For national security and the organization of Tien Phong Cross-Country and Mass Run Tournament; simultaneously launching the 2026 Thai Nguyen province online running race. After the ceremonial part, delegates and participants will take part in a 500-meter response run around Van Xuan Square before the collective running and cross-country competitions take place according to the plan.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism serves as the standing agency, taking the lead in coordinating with relevant units to organize the program. The Provincial Police, the Provincial Military Command, the Department of Health and other relevant agencies as well as localities will coordinate to ensure security, public order, traffic safety, medical services and other necessary conditions for the event.

In addition to the provincial-level activities, People’s Committees of communes and wards will organize local launching events for the Olympic Run Day for Public Health – For National Security based on actual conditions, mobilizing officials, youth union members, association members, pupils, students and residents to participate, thereby spreading the spirit of sports practice within the community.

Through the event, Thai Nguyen Province expects to create a vibrant atmosphere among the people, contributing to raising awareness of the role of sports and physical exercise in improving health, quality of life and promoting a healthy lifestyle in society.
