The program was attended by leaders of the Engineer Corps; Engineer Brigade 229; leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and representatives of local Party committees, authorities and residents.

At the program, the leadership of Hop Thanh commune announced Decision No. 2741/QD-UBND dated December 31, 2025 of Chairman of Thai Nguyen Province People's Committee on the recognition of the “Historical Site of the Establishment of Engineer Regiment 151 (1951)” as a provincial-level historical site.

According to historical records, on January 15, 1951, in Khuan Lan village, Hop Thanh commune, Engineer Regiment 151 - the first regimental-level engineer unit of the Vietnam People’s Army -was established. For its outstanding achievements during the resistance war, the unit was honored to receive from President Ho Chi Minh a flag embroidered with the four golden words “Mở đường thắng lợi” (Open the road to victory), which has become a proud tradition of Vietnam’s engineer forces.

On this occasion, the Engineer Corps presented 15 gift packages to policy beneficiary families in Khuan Lan hamlet. The Youth Union also launched a digitalization project for the provincial-level historical site “Site of the Establishment of Engineer Regiment 151 (1951)”, enabling people to access information about the site via a QR code.

The activities were held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Engineer Corps (March 25, 1946 – March 25, 2026), while also helping educate younger generations about historical traditions and strengthen the close bond between officers and soldiers of the Engineer Corps and the local Party committees, authorities and residents.
