Comrade Dang Ngoc Huy, Director of the Department of Health, reports on the program implementation results
According to the report presented at the Conference, as of June 7, 2026, over 670,000 people across the province had received regular health checkups and free health screenings, reaching 37.74% of the population.
Local authorities also raised a number of challenges in the implementation process, including updating data and linking electronic health records, as well as compiling population statistics by occupational group, given that many people study or work outside the area, or frequently change their place of residence.
At the Conference, the Steering Committee launched the Peak Campaign Month for Regular Health Checkups and Free Screenings for the People of the province, with the aim of fostering a competitive spirit and accelerating progress toward the stated targets.
Comrade Bui Van Luong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and Head of the Steering Committee for the Implementation of Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW, emphasizes that public health care is both a goal and a driving force for development, as well as the key political task of the entire political system
Delivering directive remarks at the Conference, Comrade Bui Van Luong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and Head of the Steering Committee for the Implementation of Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW, recognized and commended the efforts of all levels of government, sectors, and localities in carrying out the task of caring for the People's health. He emphasized that implementing Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW is of exceptional significance, reflecting the province's strong political resolve in caring for the People's health, and should be regarded as both a goal and a driving force for development, as well as the key political task of the entire political system. He directed all Party committees, governments, agencies, units, and localities to continue providing strong leadership and direction, mobilizing the participation of the entire political system, and upholding the role and responsibility of heads of organizations in carrying out implementation. He noted: The implementation process must be regularly and continuously monitored, inspected, and evaluated to ensure substantive effectiveness and avoid formalism.
Stressing the milestones to be met - with at least 50% of the population to have received regular health checkups and free screenings by June 30, 2026, and 100% by October 30, 2026 - he called on departments, sectors, and localities to proactively review and classify target groups, develop specific plans, and assign tasks with clear responsibilities, clear duties, and clear timelines, while ensuring data accuracy; and to strengthen communication and mobilization efforts to encourage active public participation, contributing to the effective implementation of Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW of the Politburo.
