For the past time, the effective implementation of the "Building 5-No, 3-Clean Families" campaign along with emulation movements by the Women's Union has made important contributions to completing 11 out of 19 criteria in the new rural development program; thereby positively contributing to Phu Binh district achieving advanced new rural standards.

Recently, at Huong Van Tra Cooperative (Dong Quang Ward, Thai Nguyen City), Salepro Ecosystem, in coordination with the Hanoi Association for Anti-Counterfeiting and Trademark Protection and Huong Van Tra Cooperative, organized Trade Promotion Program No. 171 under the theme “Leadership in the New Era”.

2025 marks a significant milestone as the world commemorates the 5th anniversary of International Tea Day (May 21, 2020 - May 21, 2025), an event aimed at honoring the value of tea in culture, life and sustainable development. For Vietnam, especially Thai Nguyen - the land known as "No. 1 famous tea region", this is not only an occasion to pay tribute to tea makers but also an opportunity to affirm the position of Vietnamese tea on the world map.

On the afternoon of May 7, the Central Coordination Office for New Rural Development organized a meeting of the Central Assessment Council to evaluate Phu Binh district, Thai Nguyen province for recognition as an advanced new rural (NR) district in 2024. Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Tran Thanh Nam, Chairman of the Central Assessment Council, presided over the meeting. For Thai Nguyen province, attendees included comrade Nguyen Thanh Binh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders from the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Department of Agriculture and Environment, NR Coordination Office and Phu Binh district.

In response to the emergence of counterfeit and low-quality products bearing Thai Nguyen tea brand, which negatively affects the reputation of local specialties, Thai Nguyen Province People's Committee has issued a directive to strengthen quality management, protect branding and consumer rights and implement tea industry development goals for 2025-2030 period.

Within the framework of the activities of the "Industry and Trade - OCOP Thai Nguyen 2025" Exhibition Fair, at noon on April 29, Thai Nguyen OCOP Market Fair 2025 Livestream program was held on TikTok e-commerce platform with the participation of famous artists and actors.

In order to develop Dong Hy tea industry in a sustainable and modern direction, improve quality and added value for tea trees, Dong Hy District Party Committee has issued a Resolution on tea industry development for 2025 – 2030 period.

Implementing Resolution No. 11-NQ/TU dated February 3, 2025 of Thai Nguyen Province Party Committee Executive Committee on tea industry development for the 2025-2030 period, the Provincial Farmers' Association has issued a plan to implement the Resolution at all levels of the Association and farmer members. The plan sets out comprehensive solutions and specific targets to improve the quality and brand value of cooperatives, cooperative groups, members of the Farmers' Association and income for tea growers in the province.

The Vietnam Cooperative Alliance has just announced the voting results of CoopStar Awards 2025. There are 2 voted cooperatives in Thai Nguyen province including: Son Dung Tea Cooperative, Quang Trung Ward, Thai Nguyen City and Viet Cuong Vermicelli Cooperative, Hoa Thuong Town, Dong Hy District. These are 2 typical cooperatives with effective production and business activities, creating stable jobs and income for members and employees.

On the morning of March 25, at the Convention Center - Thai Nguyen University, Thai Nguyen Province Youth Union in collaboration with Chien Cong Industrial and Transport Cooperative, organized a program titled “Exchange to Promote Thai Nguyen Tea Culture and the Art of Tea Appreciation” for over 1,000 Youth Union members and young people from Thai Nguyen University. This meaningful activity aims to realize Resolution No. 11-NQ/TU dated on February 3, 2025 of Thai Nguyen Province Party Executive Committee on the development of Thai Nguyen tea industry for 2025–2030 period.

Blessed by nature with favorable soil and climate conditions, the people of Thai Nguyen have dedicated their passion to producing fragrant and high-quality tea products that are renowned both domestically and internationally.

On February 25, Dong Hy District collaborated with Chien Cong Industrial and Transport Cooperative to organize the "Exchange on the Development of Tea Culture and the Art of Thai Nguyen Tea Appreciation" program.

The Central Office for New Rural Coordination has recently issued a document announcing the results of the evaluation and classification of products under the 2024 National OCOP Program (3rd round). Among these, Thai Nguyen Province has two products certified as 5-star OCOP.

During the period of 2021 - 2024, the local industrial promotion program supported 90 schemes for over 150 rural industrial establishments, with a total budget of VND 30 billion. Of this amount, VND 13.3 billion came from local industrial promotion funds, while the remaining VND 16.7 billion was contributed by the beneficiaries.

In 2024, Thai Nguyen province was granted 29 new planting area codes, including 12 for tea cultivation, 12 for rice farming and 5 for fruit trees.

Implementing the policy of Thai Nguyen Province Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee on Digital Transformation and E-commerce Development Program, on January 6, the Department of Industry and Trade collaborated with Shopee Co., Ltd. to organize a training session on operating guidelines and skills transfer for "Thai Nguyen Product Booth" on the e-commerce platform for over 200 enterprises, cooperatives, lecturers, students and community digital technology teams in the province.

To supervise food safety (FS) during the stages of initial production, preliminary processing, processing and consumption of agricultural, forestry and aquatic products in centralized production areas, production facilities, businesses, wholesale markets and traditional markets across the province, the Sub-Department of Quality Management for Agricultural, Forestry and Aquatic Products implemented a province-wide FS supervision program in 2024.

On the afternoon of December 23, a delegation from Thai Nguyen province held a working session at the Vietnam-Korea Institute of Science and Technology (VKIST), Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park, Hanoi. The working session was co-chaired by comrade Nguyen Huy Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Loi, Director of VKIST. The working session was also attended by directors of various departments and representatives from several prominent tea cooperatives in the province.

The Provincial People's Committee has just issued a document requesting departments, branches, People's Committees of districts and cities to strengthen the management, inspection and supervision of OCOP products in the province.

On December 15, at the Cultural Center for Ethnic Minorities in Dai Tu district, over 200 delegates representing various associations, cooperatives, enterprises in the province, and members involved in tea production, processing, and business attended the Program on exchange and development of tea culture and tea appreciation art shared by journalist and artisan Hoang Anh Suong. This is the 4th Program sponsored and supported by Chien Cong Industrial and Transportation Cooperative.
