According to the plan, the event has a scale of about 8,000 participants including representatives of provincial leaders, departments, boards, sectors, mass organizations, armed forces, universities, colleges, professional secondary schools, students, sports clubs, workers and a large number of the People in the province.

The program consists of two main parts: the Launching Ceremony of the Olympic Run Day and the competition events of the Tien Phong Cross-country Tournament and Mass Run. Immediately after the launching ceremony, thousands of participants will join a 500-meter run in response, creating an exciting atmosphere to kick off the official competitions.

Tien Phong Cross-Country Tournament includes individual and team events, in which: Events counting towards the Games' achievements (women's championship: 5,000 m, men's championship: 8,000 m); events not counting towards the Games' achievements (young women: 3,500 m and young men: 5,000 m). The mass run event, with a distance of 200 meters performed in synchronized and disciplined formations, promises visually impressive performances, demonstrating the unity and collective spirit of each participating unit.

Recently, the Organizing Committee of the Launching Ceremony of the Olympic Run Day for public health - For national security, associated with Tien Phong Cross-Country Tournament and Mass Run of the province 2026 held a meeting to discuss and agree on the implementation plan, focusing on the preparation of facilities, equipment and ceremonial decoration; and plans to ensure security, order and traffic safety at the Van Xuan Square area and on competition routes. At the same time, they agreed on the running route map and the coordination mechanism among related departments, sectors, localities and units to ensure the Tournament takes place safely and effectively.
