Delivering the welcome address at the Program, Comrade Duong Van Luong, Vice Chairman of Thai Nguyen Province People’s Committee, emphasized that, over recent years, Thai Nguyen Province has identified digital transformation, the digital economy, and e-commerce as key drivers of growth. To date, Thai Nguyen ranks among the country’s leading localities in digital transformation, with the digital economy accounting for nearly 30 percent of GRDP. E-commerce activities have recorded notable progress; many key products, especially tea and OCOP goods, have been made available on e-commerce platforms, contributing to market expansion, value enhancement, and the gradual integration into domestic and international supply chains. Through the Program, Thai Nguyen Province People’s Committee expressed its hope that central ministries and agencies would continue to refine institutional frameworks, policies, and regionally integrated e-commerce development programs. He called on localities nationwide to strengthen coordination, share data, connect markets, and build inter-regional value chains. He urged the business community within the province and across the region to proactively innovate business models, advance digital technology adoption, enhance competitiveness, and actively engage in domestic and international e-commerce platforms. On the part of Thai Nguyen Province, the Committee pledged to continue improving a favorable and transparent investment and business environment; to accelerate administrative reform; to develop synchronized digital and logistics infrastructure; to strengthen support for enterprises in digital transformation and digital commerce promotion; and to advance inter-regional e-commerce connectivity. Comrade Duong Van Luong affirmed that the province would continue to stand alongside enterprises, partners, and localities, fulfilling its role as an industrial, training, and innovation hub for the midland and northern mountainous region.
