In attendance at the opening ceremony were the following comrades: Luong Duc Thang, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of the Commission for Internal Affairs of the Provincial Party Committee; Pham Van Tho, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Director of the Department of Industry and Trade; Dong Van Luu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Thi Loan, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of provincial departments, agencies and localities; and organizations, enterprises and cooperatives from across the country.

The “Industry and Trade – OCOP Thai Nguyen 2026” Fair and Exhibition is an annual event that has established its own brand and identity for Thai Nguyen province, leaving a positive impression of the province's organization, trade promotion, investment, tourism and services. It contributes to promoting Thai Nguyen province's socio-economic achievements between Thai Nguyen province and other provinces and cities across the country; drives forward the implementation of the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize Vietnamese goods" in accordance with the directives of the Central Government and Thai Nguyen Province; and provides organizations, enterprises and cooperatives with an opportunity to exchange experience, connect markets and find potential partners and customers for cooperation, development and expanding production, distribution and sales networks between Thai Nguyen province and other provinces and cities nationwide.

In recent times, Thai Nguyen province has actively implemented many synchronized measures to develop production and business; enhance the effectiveness of trade and services; support enterprises and cooperatives in market expansion and supply-demand linkage; and elevate the value and competitiveness of products, especially OCOP products, outstanding rural industrial products and local specialties.

At the opening ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Loan called on the Organizing Committee, relevant departments and agencies and the participating enterprises and cooperatives to strictly observe the event schedule and ensure absolute safety of persons, goods and property; to maintain public order and food safety and hygiene; to pay attention to product quality, environmental hygiene and fire prevention. All activities at the Trade Fair must be conducted in strict compliance with legal regulations to ensure that the “Industry and Trade – OCOP Thai Nguyen 2026” Fair and Exhibition is organized successfully.

The “Industry and Trade – OCOP Thai Nguyen 2026” Fair and Exhibition runs from April 29 to May 3, 2026, featuring 160 booths and attracting participation from 21 provinces and cities nationwide. It brings together thousands of representative signature products imbued with the regional cultural character of localities across the country.
