Delivering the opening remarks for Thai Nguyen Tourism Season 2026, Comrade Duong Van Luong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Program Organizing Committee, emphasized: In recent years, Thai Nguyen Province has consistently focused on leading and directing tourism development in a professional, sustainable direction, progressively elevating tourism into an important economic sector. The Provincial Party Executive Committee has issued the Scheme for Tourism Development in Thai Nguyen Province and the Scheme for Promoting Cultural Values and the Strength of Thai Nguyen People for the 2026–2030 Period, aimed at effectively preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, tangible and intangible cultural heritage, in connection with tourism development, creating a driving force for socioeconomic development and improving people's livelihoods.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that for tourism to truly become an attractive destination and a leading economic sector, the concerted engagement of the entire political system, the business community and the people is essential. Thai Nguyen Province will continue to complete mechanisms and policies; improve the investment and business environment; and implement synchronized solutions on planning and investment attraction to develop high-quality, distinctively branded tourism products.

He also called on provincial departments, agencies and localities to continue enhancing the effectiveness of state management in tourism and to create favorable conditions for attracting tourism investment. In addition, he expressed hope that the business community, investors and travel agencies would continue to accompany the province in researching and developing high-quality tourism products; effectively leveraging the potential of ecotourism, resort tourism, community-based tourism and tea culture tourism, contributing to brand building and enhancing the competitiveness of Thai Nguyen's tourism sector.

Arts program: Symphony "Lake on the Mountain, Tea in the Clouds" featuring outstanding artistic performances

Themed Symphony "Lake on the Mountain, Tea in the Clouds”, the Program serves not only as an invitation to visitors to come to Thai Nguyen Province but also as an expression of the province's aspirations for development, harmoniously leveraging its natural, cultural and human values to pursue green, sustainable tourism in the new era. The image of a lake amid vast forests, lush tea-covered hills and distinctive cultural identity compose the unique "symphony" of Thai Nguyen today.

The centerpiece of the Opening Ceremony was the Arts Program, Symphony "Lake on the Mountain, Tea in the Clouds”, comprising three chapters: "Lake on the Mountain, Tea in the Clouds”, "Sounds from the Capital of War Resistance” and "Epic Song of Thai Nguyen - The Magical Land”. Through a harmonious blend of modern stage design, lighting artistry and outstanding performances, the Program vividly recreated the story of the land "Lake on the Mountain, Tea in the Clouds", rich in historical and cultural tradition, yet dynamic and modern.

Also at the Program, the Vietnam Records Organization announced and presented a Record Certificate to Thai Nguyen Province for the achievement of performing the bamboo dance with 1,000 pairs of bamboo poles, the largest in Vietnam. Audiences and visitors were also treated to a spectacular drone light show and dazzling high-altitude fireworks display, creating a vibrant and memorable atmosphere for the opening night of Thai Nguyen Tourism Season 2026.

Through the Opening Ceremony of Tourism Season 2026, Thai Nguyen Province continues to affirm its image as a welcoming destination rich in cultural identity and abundant in potential for ecotourism, resort tourism and experiential tourism. With systematic investment and the determination of the entire political system, the business community and the people, Thai Nguyen's tourism sector is steadily rising to become a standout destination on the tourism map of the Northern midland and mountainous region and the country as a whole, contributing to sustainable socioeconomic development in the new era.
