Cultural development must be synchronous, substantive and serve as a driver for socio-economic development
On May 21, the Steering Committee for implementing Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW dated January 7, 2026 of the Politburo on developing Vietnamese culture in Thai Nguyen province (abbreviated as the Steering Committee) held its second session. Comrade Dinh Quang Tuyen, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and Head of the Steering Committee chaired the session. Attending the session were Comrade Dong Van Luu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Comrade Duong Van Luong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with members of the Steering Committee.

Implementing Resolution No. 80 of the Politburo and Scheme No. 17 and Scheme No. 18 of the Party Executive Committee of the province, in recent times, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has actively advised the Provincial Party Committee, the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to issue many documents leading, directing and plans to synchronously implement cultural development tasks in the area.
At the session, members of the Steering Committee focused on discussing many key contents related to the cultural development orientation of the province in the coming period. In which, delegates believed that it is necessary to soon fully evaluate the role and contribution of cultural industries to economic growth to have suitable development solutions, step by step turning culture into an endogenous resource and driving force for the sustainable development of the province.

Opinions also focused on clarifying the requirement to improve the quality of the contingent of cadres performing cultural work at the grassroots level; reviewing and specifically evaluating the quantity and quality of cadres to inform staffing and deployment decisions aligned with practical requirements. In addition, delegates gave opinions on the assignment of tasks for members of the Steering Committee and the system of implementation indicators for 2026.

Delivering directive remarks, Comrade Dinh Quang Tuyen emphasized that cultural development must be deployed synchronously, methodically, with a focus and emphasis and closely linked with the socio-economic development task of the province. He requested the standing agency of the Steering Committee to fully and scientifically absorb the participating opinions at the session to finalize targets and indicators and ensure feasibility during implementation. The Head of the Steering Committee also requested members of the Steering Committee to continue closely following assigned tasks, enhancing their sense of responsibility and proactively coordinating to effectively deploy cultural development tasks; paying attention to the work of preserving and promoting traditional cultural values associated with digital transformation, tourism development and cultural industries. Thereby contributing to building Thai Nguyen's culture to develop comprehensively, deeply imbued with national identity, meeting development requirements in the new period.
