Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee works with the Department of Education and Training
On the afternoon of August 6, Comrade Trinh Xuan Truong, Member of the Party Central Executive Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, chaired the Conference of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee Working with the Department of Education and Training to review the results of implementing tasks for the 2025 - 2026 school year, preparations for the 2026 - 2027 school year, and to give opinions on the sector's key tasks in the coming time.

According to the report at the Conference, in the 2025 - 2026 school year, the education and training sector continued to effectively implement the policies on fundamental and comprehensive education reform, and stepped up the restructuring of the school network, digital transformation, and the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in management and teaching. The province currently has 1,046 preschool and general education institutions with more than 432,000 children, pupils, and trainees; more than 30,600 management staff, teachers, and employees, of whom 98.46% meet the training standards.

The quality of education continued to improve. The 2018 general education curriculum has been implemented at 100% of educational institutions; excellence education programs produced 125 national excellent-student awards along with many achievements at science and technology, STEM, AI, and startup competitions. Digital transformation achieved many positive results, with 100% of primary schools implementing digital student records.

Besides the results achieved, the sector still faces many difficulties regarding facilities, localized teacher shortages, information technology infrastructure, and investment resources. The province currently still lacks 1,357 classrooms, 351 subject rooms, and more than 5,200 functional rooms and auxiliary facilities. Delegates focused on discussing and proposing solutions to remove obstacles related to facilities, funding, tuition fee policies, and digital transformation in order to ensure the conditions for implementing the new school year.

Speaking at the Conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan requested that the departments, sectors, and localities proactively address existing shortcomings and fully prepare the conditions for the new school year; continue to renew teaching methods and step up the application of technology and AI in teaching; make effective use of resources, accelerate the allocation and disbursement of funding, and promptly resolve any difficulties and problems that arise.

Delivering directive remarks, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Trinh Xuan Truong acknowledged the results the education and training sector has achieved for the past time, while emphasizing that education is a field prioritized for investment by the province. He directed the sector to continue reviewing, planning, and restructuring the school network in association with coordinated, modern facility investment; to proactively advise on mechanisms and policies for human resource development, improve the quality of vocational education, and effectively implement the Scheme to make English the second language in schools; and to step up digital transformation, apply artificial intelligence, and build a comprehensive education environment to meet the province's development requirements in the new period.
