According to a report by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism: As of this time, the tasks of preparing for the International Tea Festival - Thai Nguyen 2026 and the anniversary activities have basically been carried out on schedule. Many contents have completed the development of plans, scripts, and organizational plans; the remaining tasks are being moved swiftly toward completion, focusing on communications, reception, logistics, and technical work, and ensuring security, safety, and the conditions necessary to support the event.

According to the plan, the opening ceremony of the International Tea Festival - Thai Nguyen 2026 will take place on the evening of October 30, 2026, at Vo Nguyen Giap Square, Phan Dinh Phung Ward, with a series of activities such as: an exhibition on 195 years of integration and development achievements; operation of a heritage train; tea appreciation activities with celebrities at tea-growing areas; development of a brand identification code for the Thai Nguyen Tea brand; the International Tea Forum; the Vietnam Master Tea contest; street art performances... along with numerous cultural, tourism, trade promotion, and tea culture promotion activities.

At the meeting, the units reported on the progress of each task. Delegates held that a number of activities are large in scale, new in content, and involve many agencies, units, and localities, and therefore require further discussion to reach consensus and finalize the organizational plan in order to ensure the required progress and quality.

Delivering directive remarks, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan directed that the organization of the Festival and the anniversary activities be meticulously prepared, that truly distinctive programs be selected, that a cultural space bearing a strong Thai Nguyen identity be created, and that international cultural elements be harmoniously incorporated to create a distinctive impression for domestic and international visitors. The activities must create a joyful and appealing festive atmosphere, help promote the image of the land, people, and tea culture, and affirm Thai Nguyen as an attractive tourism destination for the region and the whole country.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed departments, boards, sectors, units, and localities assigned the tasks to proactively develop detailed plans and organize implementation to ensure the progress and quality of the events. At the same time, he assigned Thai Nguyen Newspaper, Radio and Television, the Provincial Electronic Information Portal, and press and media agencies to step up communications before, during, and after the event, generate wide public reach, and help promote the image, culture, and people of Thai Nguyen, attracting the interest of residents and visitors.

Regarding the activities marking the 195th anniversary of the establishment of the Province, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed that the program content be meticulously prepared to reflect the historical depth, traditions, and distinctive cultural values of the Thai Nguyen land. This will create an impression, inspire pride, and spread the image of Thai Nguyen along its new development path.

Regarding the projects to preserve and restore relics serving the 80th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's arrival at ATK Dinh Hoa and ATK Cho Don, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that these are projects of especially important political and historical significance, and therefore a specific schedule must be developed for each item and each task. Regarding the President Ho Chi Minh Monument and Symbolic Complex Project, the casting of the statue will be carried out using funding mobilized from social sources (public and private contributions); the contents related to the monument are targeted for completion before April 30, 2027.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed departments, sectors, localities, investors, and enterprises to strengthen coordination and proactively resolve difficulties and obstacles, both accelerating progress and ensuring the quality, aesthetics, and safety of construction. The projects at ATK Dinh Hoa and ATK Cho Don have been identified for implementation under the “24-hour green channel” mechanism, prioritizing the swift handling of procedures to ensure progress, with the goal of completing all the works before May 5, 2027. He directed the units and localities to strengthen coordination, clearly define timelines and the responsibilities of each unit for implementation, and ensure that the tasks are completed on schedule and to the required quality, contributing to the successful organization of the International Tea Festival - Thai Nguyen 2026, the 195th anniversary of the establishment of the Province, and the 80th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's arrival at ATK Dinh Hoa and ATK Cho Don.
