According to the report of the Department of Finance, the site clearance of industrial parks involves about 11 industrial parks and 1 concentrated information technology park, with a total land recovery area of about 2,450 hectares, affecting over 9,000 households. Among them, about 3,500 households have to relocate, generating a need for about 7,000 resettlement land plots; simultaneously, there are about 4,700 graves needing relocation. To meet this need, localities have planned over 30 resettlement projects with a total area of nearly 680 hectares. Currently, about 15 projects are deploying compensation and site clearance with an area of over 200 hectares, some areas have constructed infrastructure, expected to arrange nearly 2,000 land plots; about 15 other projects are perfecting investment procedures.

Delivering directing remarks at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Van Luong emphasized that building resettlement areas plays an important role in stabilizing people's lives and creating conditions for developing industrial parks and attracting investment. He required the Management Board of Thai Nguyen Industrial Parks to build an industrial park development plan in the coming period as a basis for determining resettlement needs. The Department of Finance presides over and coordinates with departments, sectors, and localities to review and synthesize needs, determine the list of resettlement areas, balance capital sources, and propose plans to mobilize resources for implementation. Investors must urgently build specific progress schedules for each project; related departments and sectors must accelerate appraisal work and perfect procedures. The Department of Agriculture and Environment must coordinate with localities to review and agree on site clearance plans, ensuring projects are deployed in accordance with regulations and progress.
