Bach Thong is currently one of the province's large concentrated orange and tangerine growing areas. The entire commune has over 500 hectares of tangerines, of which about 400 hectares are in the commercial period giving stable harvest, annual output reaching about 4,000 - 4,500 tons of fresh fruit. With suitable soil and climate conditions, orange and tangerine trees planted in Bach Thong commune yield fruits with sweet taste, thin skin, beautiful color, favored by consumers. The product “Bac Kan Tangerine” has also been granted Geographical Indication, in which Bach Thong is within the protected area, creating an important legal foundation to protect the brand, improve reputation and expand consumption markets.

Speaking at the opening program, Comrade Nong Quang Nhat, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: The Orange and Tangerine Festival and Agricultural Product Fair of Bach Thong commune 2025 is not only an occasion to honor farmers, promote local characteristic agricultural products, but also an important opportunity to connect production with the market, promoting agricultural product consumption towards sustainability. The Comrade requested Bach Thong commune and related localities to continue paying attention to expanding growing areas, improving quality, promoting the application of science and technology, digital transformation, building brands, product traceability; at the same time strengthening linkages with enterprises and cooperatives to form a stable value chain for orange, tangerine trees and key agricultural products.

The festival is not only an occasion to promote products but also affirms the locality's determination in raising the level of Bach Thong oranges and tangerines to become key commodity agricultural products, developing towards sustainability, modernity and attachment to the market.
