The organization of these cultural and sports activities aims to practically celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 – February 3, 2026); celebrate the success of the 1st Congress of Thai Nguyen Province Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term; and welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party. At the same time, the activities are intended to create a joyful and upbeat atmosphere among the people on the occasion of Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.

The activities also aim to widely promote and educate about the glorious tradition of the Communist Party of Vietnam, affirm the Party’s leadership role in the revolutionary cause and encourage patriotic emulation movements, thereby contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals for 2026 and the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term.

According to the Plan, information dissemination, communication and visual propaganda activities will be intensified from January through the end of March 2026 across mass media, grassroots broadcasting systems, portals and websites and social media platforms. At the same time, festive decorations will be carried out, including hanging flags, banners, slogans and posters along main roads, central areas, residential areas and offices and agencies, helping to create a joyful and vibrant atmosphere to welcome the new year.

A highlight of the series of activities will be an artistic program celebrating the Party and welcoming the Spring of Binh Ngo Year, combined with a fireworks display at the Lunar New Year’s Eve of 2026. The program is expected to take place at Vo Nguyen Giap Square, Van Xuan Square and Phong Quang commune area. It will feature special artistic performances praising the Party, Uncle Ho, the homeland, the country and the socio-economic development achievements of Thai Nguyen province.

In addition, the province will organize Binh Ngo Spring Press Festival 2026; Nguyen Tieu Poetry Festival – Thai Nguyen 2026; the launching ceremony of the Olympic Run for Public Health and Tien Phong Cross-Country Race of Thai Nguyen province; mobile art performance programs serving the people; many other cultural, artistic, sports and traditional folk game activities to be held widely at the grassroots level before, during and after the Lunar New Year.

The Provincial People’s Committee requires departments, agencies and People’s Committees of communes and wards, based on their assigned functions and tasks, to proactively develop implementation plans. All activities must be organized in a solemn, practical, effective, safe and economical manner, while strengthening state management to ensure security and order, traffic safety, fire and explosion prevention, environmental sanitation and social safety throughout the period of the activities celebrating the Party and welcoming the Spring of Binh Ngo Year 2026
