Thai Nguyen implements the National Target Program on cultural development for the 2025–2030 period
On March 26, Comrade Duong Van Luong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, signed and issued Plan No. 119/KH-UBND on the implementation of the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the 2025–2035 period, Phase I from 2025 to 2030, within the province.

The issuance of the Plan is intended to concretize the goals, tasks and solutions in accordance with the Decision of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, while promoting cultural values and the strength of the people of Thai Nguyen, contributing to the construction of an advanced culture deeply imbued with national identity, in tandem with sustainable socio-economic development.
According to the Plan, the implementation of the Program aims to bring about a marked transformation in the awareness and actions of all levels of government, sectors and the people with regard to cultural development; to raise the spiritual living standards and the level of cultural enjoyment of the population; and to mobilize the strength of the entire political system in preserving and promoting the cultural heritage values of the ethnic groups in the province.
The Program will be implemented across the entire province, with the implementing entities being the provincial departments, agencies and localities, together with organizations and individuals active in the fields of culture, literature and the arts; the beneficiaries include the people, residential communities, enterprises and related organizations.
By 2030, Thai Nguyen province aims to achieve a number of important targets, including completing the system of cultural values and values for individuals and families through codes of conduct; constructing and completing 3 provincial-level cultural institutions comprising the Cultural Center, the Museum and the Library; completing the restoration and renovation of nationally and specially designated historical sites; and developing cultural industries contributing over 7% of the provincial GRDP.
In addition, the province sets the target of achieving 100% digitalization and digital transformation for all cultural and arts entities; ensuring that 100% of students have access to arts education and cultural heritage education activities; and ensuring that 90% of officials and public employees working in culture and the arts receive professional training and skills development.

To achieve the above targets, Thai Nguyen province will implement multiple key groups of tasks, including: intensifying information and communication activities on cultural development; building a system of ethical values and standards for the people of Thai Nguyen in the era of integration; developing the mass physical education and sports movement; and building models of happy families and combating domestic violence.

The province will also focus on building a wholesome cultural environment and developing a comprehensive network of cultural institutions; investing in the construction of key cultural works such as the provincial Museum, the provincial Library and a modern theatre; and enhancing the operational effectiveness of cultural centers, community houses and grassroots sports facilities.
In addition, the province will place emphasis on preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, restoring festivals, developing cultural models linked with community-based tourism; promoting a reading culture; and strengthening cultural, ethical and lifestyle education in schools and communities.
Through the synchronized implementation of all tasks and solutions, the Program is expected to contribute to raising the cultural and spiritual living standards of the people, preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the ethnic groups and creating momentum for the socio-economic development of Thai Nguyen province in the new era.
