In the field of crop cultivation, the total area sown with major mua-season crops reached approximately 59,900 ha. The crop structure continued to shift toward higher efficiency, with the area of vegetables of all kinds reaching more than 4,400 ha, up 4.8% year-on-year and reaching 90.7% of the plan. Fruit trees grew and developed well with little pest damage; many varieties such as longan, guava, dragon fruit, and custard apple are entering their harvest season, promising a source of income for local residents.

Tea - the province's key agricultural product - is in the period of highest yield of the year, and the locality is striving to bring the 2026 fresh tea bud output to nearly 280,000 tons. To date, the province has newly planted and replanted 205 ha of tea, while localities continue to prepare seedlings and land funds to complete the plan for 2026.

Livestock farming continued to remain stable, with cattle and poultry herds developing well. Live-weight meat output for the first seven months of the year is estimated at 166,250 tons, equal to 63.2% of the annual plan. Notably, no dangerous infectious diseases emerged or re-erupted among livestock in the province. Vaccination and biosecurity livestock farming were implemented in a coordinated manner, helping ensure food supply and sustainable production development.

Timber output for the first seven months of the year reaches more than 548,000 m³

The forestry sector recorded many outstanding results. Since the beginning of the year, the area of newly planted concentrated forest has reached more than 7,680 ha, exceeding the annual plan by 2.45% and up 23.77% year-on-year. Timber harvesting and processing activities also maintained positive growth, with timber output reaching more than 548,000 m³, up 19.35% year-on-year and reaching 73.6% of the annual plan.

Aquaculture continued to develop steadily as the farming environment was well controlled, with no dangerous disease outbreaks. Aquaculture output for the first seven months of the year is estimated at 13,600 tons, up 6.67% year-on-year, contributing to raising the production value of the agricultural sector.

With many promising growth targets, the Thai Nguyen agriculture sector continues to affirm its role as a pillar of the economy, creating favorable premises for achieving the 2026 agriculture, forestry, and fishery development goals.
