Provincial leaders inspect progress of industrial park and resettlement projects in Tan Thanh commune
On the afternoon of April 12, Comrade Duong Van Luong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, together with leaders of several provincial departments, agencies and units, conducted a field inspection and held a working session with Tan Thanh Commune on the progress of industrial park (IP) projects and resettlement projects serving the IP in the area.

At the working session, leaders of Tan Thanh Commune reported on the progress of resettlement zones serving the Phu Binh Industrial Park Infrastructure Construction and Business Investment Project. According to the report, the Phu Binh Industrial Park Infrastructure Construction and Business Investment Project, developed by KinhBac City Development Holding Corporation [KBC] as the investor, covers an area of 675 hectares and involves the relocation of approximately 825 households, of which 800 are in Tan Thanh Commune alone. To meet resettlement needs, Tan Thanh Commune has proposed implementing the Tan Hoa 1 and Tan Hoa 2 Resettlement Zone Projects, covering 31.7 hectares and projected to provide 278 land plots. However, after allocation, a shortfall of approximately 522 plots remains. In light of this, the locality has petitioned the province to consider providing resources to implement the Tan Hoa 3 Resettlement Zone Project, covering approximately 64 hectares and projected to generate an additional 480 land plots; the commune is currently preparing the detailed planning for this project.

At the working session, delegates concentrated their discussions on clarifying difficulties and obstacles and proposing solutions to accelerate site clearance and expedite the implementation of resettlement projects and IP projects.

Speaking at the working session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Duong Van Luong requested provincial departments, agencies and Tan Thanh Commune to heighten their sense of responsibility and concentrate on accelerating the progress of resettlement projects to ensure the timely meeting of residents’ needs. The Department of Finance was assigned to urgently report to the Provincial People’s Committee on funding sources for implementation before April 15, 2026, as the basis for proceeding with subsequent steps. In addition, upon completion of inventorying, resettlement allocation must be organized promptly; coordination must be strengthened with regular monitoring and progress reporting to facilitate the timely resolution of difficulties and ensure the overall progress of the projects.
