The delegation reported to Uncle Ho the province's outstanding achievements in socio-economic development: Thai Nguyen has made strong breakthroughs to become one of the fastest-developing provinces in the region and the country, making important contributions to the overall development of the nation. The economic structure has shifted toward rapidly increasing the proportion of industry-construction, commerce and services. The average GRDP per capita in 2024 reached approximately VND 119.2 million/person/year, 1.34 times higher than in 2020, exceeding the national average. State budget revenue in the province increased from VND 15,623 billion in 2020 to VND 20,403 billion in 2024 (1.3 times higher than in 2020). Notably, since 2023, Thai Nguyen has become one of 18 localities nationwide that can balance its revenue and expenditure and contribute to the central budget. Thai Nguyen is among the localities that completed early the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated housing for poor and near-poor households, finishing 8 months ahead of the Government's deadline.

The work of reorganization and streamlining of the administrative apparatus has been implemented resolutely and promptly by the province in accordance with the Central Government's directives. As a pioneering locality, Thai Nguyen has submitted to the Government a plan for reorganizing commune-level administrative units in 2025 and has proactively proposed the merger of Bac Kan province with Thai Nguyen province. This merger not only aims to implement the Party and State's major policy on streamlining the apparatus and improving management efficiency, promoting regional linkages and sustainable development but also represents the convergence of revolutionary traditions and the strong bond between two localities that once served as the resistance capital - where Uncle Ho lived, worked and led the prolonged resistance. This is a valuable opportunity to leverage potential and create even stronger development, toward building a new province that is prosperous, beautiful, civilized and modern.

In front of President Ho Chi Minh's spirit, delegation members pledged to continue studying and following his thoughts, ethics and style; committed to unity with the people, respecting, being close to, understanding and caring for the people to ensure their prosperous, peaceful and happy lives; promote the achievements and glorious revolutionary traditions of the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Thai Nguyen province; continue effectively implementing socio-economic development goals and tasks, strengthening national defense and security, building the Party and building a clean and strong political system.

* During the program, the delegation also offered incense at Pu Don Hill historical site (Phong Tuong Hill) in Tin Keo hamlet, Phu Dinh commune - where President Ho Chi Minh presided over the ceremony conferring the first General rank in the Vietnam People's Army to General Vo Nguyen Giap, Commander-in-Chief of the National Army and Vietnam People's Militia (May 28, 1948). There, the delegation respectfully reported to General Giap's spirit the achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Thai Nguyen province in recent times.
