According to information from the Organizing Committee, the Championships will feature the participation of nearly 400 coaches, athletes, team leaders and referees from 25 countries and territories. This year's Championships will compete in 28 combat weight categories and 8 technical performance contents. Vietnam’s sports delegation includes 50 athletes, of whom 6 are from Thai Nguyen. The Championships will be held from June 20 to 26, 2025 at Thai Nguyen Province Sports Arena.

This is a great honor for Muaythai Vietnam, an affirmation of Muaythai's position in the international arena. According to the plan, after the Asian Championships held in Thai Nguyen, Vietnam’s Muaythai team will continue to participate in the World Games in Chengdu, China in August; the World Youth Championships in the UAE in September; and the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand in December.

Within the framework of the event, the Organizing Committee will award the Labor Medal of the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to 04 typical Muaythai athletes in recognition of their efforts, excellent dedication and outstanding contributions in the journey of developing this sport in Vietnam.

This event is not only an opportunity to affirm the position of Vietnam in general and Thai Nguyen province in particular on the continental sports map but also an opportunity for Thai Nguyen to promote the image of a friendly, hospitable land, ready for integration and breakthrough development.

Speaking at the press conference, Comrade Nguyen Van Ngoc, Director of Thai Nguyen Province Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that as the host unit, Thai Nguyen Province has proactively deployed preparation work in a systematic, professional and synchronized manner according to international standards, from infrastructure to security, medical and logistics conditions. Through this event, it is also an opportunity for Thai Nguyen to send international friends a message about a youthful, dynamic land, imbued with cultural identity and strongly developing in the fields of education, tourism, sports and technology. He also hopes to receive the accompaniment of news agencies, press and media throughout the event as well as publicity about event preparation work; the potential and strengths in tourism and scenic spots of Thai Nguyen to the delegations participating in the event.
