Thai Nguyen fighters win 4 medals at 2025 IFMA Muaythai Senior World Championships

At the 2025 IFMA Muaythai Senior World Championships, held from May 22 to June 1 in Antalya, Turkey, Thai Nguyen fighters competing as part of Vietnamese Muaythai team delivered outstanding performances and won a total of 4 medals, including: 1 Gold Medal, 2 Silver Medals and 1 Bronze Medal.

Notably, fighter Hoang Thi Thu excellently defeated opponent Alyona Ozheredova (Kazakhstan) to win the Gold Medal in the women's 71kg weight class, U23 age group, contributing to the team's overall achievement.

Vietnamese fighters participating in the Championships

This year's Championships gathered excellent fighters from many countries. The Vietnamese Muaythai team with 24 fighters competing in both U23 and world championship age groups brought home a total of 14 medals (4 Gold Medals, 6 Silver Medals, 4 Bronze Medals) and ranked 5th overall.

This is a proud achievement, demonstrating the continuous efforts and great potential of Thai Nguyen Muaythai fighters in particular and Vietnamese Muaythai fighters in general on their journey to reach international standards.

After the Championships, Vietnamese Muay team fighters will focus on preparing for the upcoming 2025 Asian Muaythai Championships, which will be hosted for the first time in Thai Nguyen. The Championships will be organized from June 20 to 26, competing in various categories for both championship and U23 youth championship divisions.
