The Table Tennis Championship saw the participation of 302 athletes from 21 clubs. The tournament featured 13 events divided into two categories: the Championship Category, which included seven events—women’s team, men’s team, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, mixed doubles, men’s singles and women’s singles; and the Recreational Category, which included 6 events: men’s doubles for ages 40-49, men’s doubles for ages 50-59, men’s doubles for ages 60-69, men’s doubles for ages 70-79, mixed doubles over 50 and women’s doubles over 50.

The Championship aims to promote the movement “All People Exercise Following the Example of Great Uncle Ho”, encouraging residents to actively practice and compete in table tennis. Additionally, it serves as a valuable platform to identify and nurture table tennis talents while promoting the image of Thai Nguyen’s people and culture to a wide audience of visitors.
