Industrial production value in the first 6 months of 2020 decreased by 3.2% compared to the same period  (the only year in the last 10 years where industrial production value in the first 6 months of the year decreased compared to the same period). However, in the third quarter, industrial production gradually recovered and gradually regained the growth momentum of the pre-epidemic period when the industrial production index in the third quarter of 2020 increased by 12.6%; The fourth quarter of 2020 increased by 10.9%.

The industrial production index for the whole year of 2020 increased by 4.45% compared to the same period. In which, the highest increase was in the processing and manufacturing industry, which increased by 4.7% (due to nearly 2 times the number of paper and paper products manufacturing industry; the production of rubber and plastic products increased by 34.6 %; production of other non-metallic mineral products increased by 16.1%); electricity production and distribution increased by 1.5%; water supply industry, management and treatment of waste and wastewater decreased by 7.3%; mining industry decreased by 9.6%.

The group of industrial products produced in 2020 has an increase in output compared to the previous year: cement reached 2.9 million tons, increased by 21.6%; rolled steel of all kinds reached 1.4 million products, increased by 15.1%; copper concentrate reached 44.4 thousand tons, increased by 5.1%; commercial electricity reached 4,883 million kWh, increased by 1.6%; tablet computers reached 17.8 million products, equivalent to 2019...

The group of products with a decrease in output compared to 2019 were: coal mining reached 1.3 million tons, increased by 1.7%; electricity production reached 1,470 million kWh, increased by 3.7%; commercial tap water reached 29 million m3, decreased by 2.8%; smartphones reached 98.2 million products, decreased by 11.5%; tungsten and tungsten concentrates reached 14.6 thousand tons, decreased by 9.3%; garment products reached 73.4 million products, decreased by 6.3%...
