SOME FEATURES OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN 2020

 

           Early childhood education: The network of Early childhood education institutions in the province was stable and developed. In the academic year 2020-2021, the province has 243 preschools, an increase of 3 schools (+1.3%) compared to the previous year (Including public schools, an increase of an Early childhood school of Pedagogy and a decrease of 01 Kim Son Early childhood School; public foreign schools  schools increased by 3. The total number of Early childhood students was 83.620; including: Kindergarten group with 14.659 children, Kindergarten group with 68,961 children; in which, 5-year-old kindergarten has 24,690 children (accounting for 29.53% of the total number of Early childhood students).

           In 2020, the whole province has 441 high schools, the number of high school students has 235.9 thousand students, an increase of 2.6%. Including: primary school has 120.6 thousand students (increased by 1.2%), middle school has 76.7 thousand students (increased by 5.3%); high school has 38.6 thousand students (increased by 1.7%).

           The average number of students in an Early childhood class was 33 students/class; primary level was 30 students/class; lower secondary level was 36 students/class and upper secondary level was 42 students/class. The average number of students per Early childhood teacher was 20 students/teacher; primary level was 23 students/teacher; lower secondary school was 22 students/teacher and upper secondary level was 18 students/teacher.

           In 2020, there were 7 intermediate schools in the province; 15 colleges and 9 universities (not including Thai Nguyen University Office). In total, there were 15.3 thousand students studying at the intermediate level (decreased by 16.1% compared to 2019); 4.5 thousand college students (decreased by 22.5%) and 35.2 thousand university students (increased by 11.7%) compared to 2019.
