Quan Chu Cultural, Sports and Golf Course Complex: A landmark for green economy and experiential tourism
Among the key projects launched in the province on May 19, 2026, Quan Chu Cultural, Sports and Golf Course Complex Project in Quan Chu Commune has attracted particular attention for its large investment scale, green development orientation and vision of integrating tourism and services with ecological landscape conservation. More than a conventional cultural and sports project, this complex is expected to generate additional growth momentum for the western part of the province and help reshape the profile of Thai Nguyen's tourism and experiential economy.

Quan Chu has long been known as a land of distinctive scenery, with gently rolling hill terrain on the eastern slope of the Tam Dao range overlooking Nui Coc Lake. Despite its considerable potential for eco-tourism, resort development and nature experiences, the area has yet to develop large-scale service complexes capable of generating meaningful economic momentum for the local area. Thai Nguyen Province's decision to develop a golf and eco-tourism complex here reflects its determination to make fuller use of the western zone's development potential, while diversifying the province's economic landscape.

Quan Chu Cultural, Sports and Golf Course Complex Project: a new-generation eco-tourism landmark where world-class sports meet premium green resort experience

According to the development plan, Quan Chu Cultural, Sports and Golf Course Complex has a total investment of approximately VND 1,000 billion, covers nearly 90 hectares and includes an 18-hole golf course together with an integrated system of auxiliary structures, services and resort facilities. The project is developed by Le Mont Golf Investment Joint Stock Company, with an orientation toward a new-generation eco-golf model.

What sets the project apart is its commitment to prioritizing landscape conservation and development in line with a green ecological model. Rather than maximizing construction density or making drastic alterations to the natural terrain, the investor has established ecological landscape conservation as a guiding principle throughout both planning and operations. The existing natural forest system, water resources and hill terrain are regarded as core values to be preserved. This orientation aligns with the green tourism and green economy trend that many localities are embracing to strike a balance between growth and environmental protection.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Vinh, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors, Le Mont Golf Investment Joint Stock Company: "We believe that when tourism, sports and service infrastructure is properly invested in, Thai Nguyen will not only serve as the industrial, educational and tea hub of the northern midlands and mountain region, but can also become a distinctive destination for culture, resort and experiential tourism across the country"

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Vinh, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Le Mont Golf Investment Joint Stock Company, emphasized that the entire project plan will strictly comply with environmental standards, minimize impacts on the original landscape, reduce chemical use in operations and give priority to ecological solutions. Setting ecological conservation requirements from the outset has helped the project secure broader consensus among the public and the local community.

Quan Chu Cultural, Sports and Golf Course Complex is also expected to create a synergistic effect with Thai Nguyen's existing tourism offerings. From its location, the project connects conveniently with Nui Coc Lake, the Tan Cuong tea-growing area, tea culture spaces and the province's western tourism ecosystem. This creates conditions for developing a diverse chain of experiences encompassing eco-resort stays, sports, visits to tea-growing areas, indigenous cultural experiences and community-based tourism.

This connectivity becomes even clearer as the Cultural, Sports and Golf Course Complex is developed in parallel with the High-Tech Tea Production and Processing Factory Complex and Organic Tea-growing Area Project in Quan Chu. Both projects share the goal of building a multi-value development model in which agriculture, tourism, services and culture are interconnected and mutually supportive, enhancing overall economic efficiency. While the High-Tech Tea Production and Processing Factory Complex Project focuses on elevating Thai Nguyen tea brand through green standards, digital technology and modern processing, the golf and resort complex contributes additional spaces for experience, product promotion and service value creation. This approach aligns with the current trend of experiential economic development, where product value is generated not only through production but also through linkages with tourism, culture and services.

From a local development perspective, Quan Chu project complex will help create additional employment in construction, commerce, accommodation, tourism and transportation, while also driving investment in transport and technical infrastructure and increasing economic value for the province's western zone. The projects also clearly reflect Thai Nguyen's new investment attraction orientation, as the locality focuses on improving the investment environment, advancing administrative reform and building a government that works alongside businesses rather than competing primarily through incentives.

According to information from the enterprises, Quan Chu project complex benefits from a "24-hour green lane" mechanism for handling investment procedures, reducing processing time and accelerating the completion of legal steps and project implementation. The ongoing partnership between local authorities and businesses has also helped strengthen the area's investment appeal. Many investors have praised the province's openness, proactive support and decisiveness in handling work matters. This forms an important foundation for Thai Nguyen to continue attracting strategic, large-scale projects with broad spillover effects and long-term value creation.

The emergence of high-quality eco-tourism, resort and sports complexes also signals a notable shift in Thai Nguyen's economic structure, with new growth sectors gradually taking shape based on the advantages of landscape, culture and green economy, alongside industry and education as its traditional strengths. As the projects are implemented in a coordinated manner, their spillover effects will help drive tourism and services development while generating additional growth momentum for the province's western zone.

The presence of Quan Chu golf complex affirms Thai Nguyen's efforts to expand its development space through projects that are interconnected, carry long-term value and are sustainability-oriented. Shifting from a resource-extraction mindset toward leveraging landscape, cultural and experiential values, the locality is gradually shaping a new development ecosystem that lays the groundwork for balanced and enduring growth.
