Thai Nguyen Province SMEs Association: Implementing the operation plan for the last 6 months of the year

On the afternoon of June 14, the Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) Association of Thai Nguyen Province held a conference to review activities from the first 6 months of the year and to deploy plans for the remaining 6 months of 2025.

Scene of the Conference

According to the report of the Provincial SMEs Association, in the first 6 months of 2025, the socio-economic situation experienced many complex fluctuations. Pressure from exchange rates and increased inflation directly affected economic management as well as business production and operations. The gold and real estate markets continued to evolve unpredictably. Although bank lending rates in the first and second quarters tended to decrease compared to the same period last year, interest rate levels remained high compared to the region and the world, creating many obstacles for businesses in accessing capital. Additionally, product consumption markets, both domestically and for export, were at times stuck in deadlock situations.

However, with the drastic direction of the Party Committee and authorities at all levels and the efforts to overcome difficulties of the business community, production, business and trade activities in the province showed many positive signs. Most directors of SMEs proactively and flexibly sought solutions to maintain production, ensure employment and care for workers' livelihoods. In particular, despite facing many difficulties, the provincial SMEs Association actively participated in social welfare activities, spreading the spirit of "healthy leaves shelter torn leaves”, consolidating solidarity and development of the Association. Overall, in the first half of 2025, Thai Nguyen's economy showed clear signs of recovery. Businesses gradually restarted production activities, contributing positively to the province's economic growth.

At the Conference, delegates recommended that functional agencies should strengthen trade promotion activities, encourage consumption and use of products between businesses and the State, between businesses and businesses and between businesses and domestic consumers; support businesses in international trade promotion, seeking alternative supply and demand sources to replace traditional markets; the State Bank of Vietnam should have specific regulations and monitoring mechanisms for implementing business support by the banking system, add preferential loan packages for businesses with various banks and simplify procedures for capital flexibility, ...

In the last 6 months of 2025, the provincial SMEs Association aims to continue serving as a bridge to help SMEs access preferential loans from banks, the provincial SME Support Credit Fund and the Provincial Investment Fund; at the same time, coordinate with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (VINASME), ministries and central agencies and localities to actively participate in conferences and seminars to improve qualifications for Association leaders and Association Office staff; particularly focus on implementing preparatory work for the 2026-2031 term Congress...
