Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the semi-boarding house for students of Vu Chan Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities

The project was invested by the Military Command of Thai Nguyen province and started construction on September 8, 2023. After more than 3 months of urgent and active construction, the project has now completed all work items, ensuring quality according to the design documents. The project has an area of over 400 m2; designed with 10 closed rooms, each room 36 m2, enough to ensure activities for 80 students. Total investment cost for construction VND is 2.68 billion, of which VND 2.2 billion is deducted from the Ministry of National Defense’s Fund for the Poor; the remaining funds to complete the interior, auxiliary works and other materials are contributed by agencies, units, local authorities, people and businesses in the province in cash, materials and labor days.

The project was completed right on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2023). T This shows the concern of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of Defense for the land rich in revolutionary tradition, with Khuon Manh Forest National Relic Site - the place where the National Salvation Army II was established. It is known that students of Vu Chan Secondary School are mostly children of ethnic minorities; over 69% of its students need to board. The construction of semi-boarding house for students has met the expectations of local authorities, teachers, students and parents here, making active contribution to helping the locality fulfill more criteria in new rural construction and the cause of human cultivation of the education sector.
