Overview of the Meeting

The Eighth National Congress of Vietnamese Catholics for Building and Defending the Fatherland, with the theme "Accompanying - Sharing - Serving", took place from October 11 to 12 in Hanoi with the participation of 400 official delegates, including 5 delegates from Thai Nguyen Province. The provincial delegation actively engaged in the organization of the event and is expected to contribute opinions and discussions during the Congress.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Pham Hoang Son, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, expressed his desire for the delegates to actively participate in the activities within the framework of the Congress and perform their tasks effectively to reflect the legitimate aspirations and desires of the Catholic community within the province.

Comrade Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that in recent years, the Catholic community in the province has shown unity and made a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the province. In the time ahead, he expressed confidence in the Catholic Solidarity Committee of the province and the Catholic community continuing to collaborate with the government to build Thai Nguyen Province into a more developed, prosperous, cultured and modern province.
