Nearly 500 athletes participate in the Olympic Run Day for People’s Health and Tien Phong Cross-Country Race

Leadership block engaged in Olympic Run Day

The launching ceremony of the Olympic Run Day for People's Health and Dong Hy District Tien Phong Cross-Country Race in 2024 is a practical activity to promote the campaign "Whole population exercises to follow the example of Great Uncle Ho" to improve health for the purposes of studying, working, producing, building and defending the Fatherland.

The Launching Ceremony and Tien Phong Cross-Country Race were nearly 500 athletes and citizens representing various agencies, organizations, enterprises, schools, armed forces, workers and 15 communes and towns within the district. In response to the Olympic Running Day Launching Ceremony, there were 11 blocks with over 300 athletes running in formation past the grandstand.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, 130 athletes from 23 units in the district participated in the Tien Phong Cross-Country Race in the following events: Young women running 3,500m, young men running 5,000m; women's championship at a distance of 5,000m, men's championship at a distance of 8,000m.

Leadership of Dong Hy district awarded the First, Second and Third prizes to the units

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded the First, Second, Third and Consolation prizes in each event. The first prize was awarded to Tran Quoc Tuan High School; the Second Prize for the entire delegation belonged to Dong Hy Boarding High School; The third prize belonged to Trai Cau High School.
