On December 28, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thai Nguyen province coordinated with Vietnam Railways and relevant agencies and units to conduct a pilot operation of a tourist train from Hanoi to Thai Nguyen. The trial aimed to assess the feasibility and effectiveness of the service to refine the concept and propose railway transportation development linked with tea culture promotion and tourism development in Thai Nguyen.

The train included 120 participants, comprising leaders and specialized staff from various provincial departments, representatives from Vietnam Railways Corporation and its member units and representatives from travel agencies both within and outside the province
