Lang Son – Thai Nguyen Expressway project not only shortens geographical distances but also unlocks opportunities for regional economic development, enhancing trade with China and the Northern Midlands and Mountainous provinces. Early implementation will serve as a strong growth driver, propelling the area to become a key national logistics and industrial hub.
CONTEXT AND NECESSITY

Current Status: Fragmented terrain, underdeveloped transportation networks and high logistics costs.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES

Connect key expressway routes, establishing an East-West trade corridor with China and Laos. |
Develop a border-gate economic corridor to boost industry, logistics and agricultural trade. |
Reduce travel distance from Thai Nguyen to China to 110 km (~1.5 hours of travel time). |
