The Session was held offline and online between Government Headquarters bridge point and 49 provinces and cities under the Central authority that have important national projects and key transport sector projects. Attendees at Thai Nguyen province bridge point included comrade Nguyen Thi Loan, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of provincial departments, agencies and the People's Committee of Dinh Hoa district.
In his opening remarks at the Session, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that in the past 3 terms and in the draft documents for the 14th Party Congress, there has been a consistent focus on implementing three strategic breakthroughs, including infrastructure development, especially transport infrastructure. The Government, ministries, sectors and localities have effectively implemented transport infrastructure development, including roads, railways, aviation and waterways; helping connect people to people, connect regions, domestic and international connections; reducing travel time, production costs, logistics costs; creating jobs, new development spaces...
In the context of declining global growth, Vietnam's economic growth has been promoted and achieved high levels. The Prime Minister noted that along with continuing to implement the revolution in organizational apparatus and the "strategic quartet", other regular tasks must also be promoted, including boosting investment growth, especially public investment, with transportation being a sector with a high proportion. During the recent 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, the country simultaneously commenced and inaugurated 80 key projects. For the upcoming 80th National Day anniversary, the country will continue to commence and inaugurate 80 projects; additionally, on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of National Resistance Day and in celebration of the 14th Party Congress, the country will continue to commence and inaugurate other projects.

According to the report, there are currently 37 out of 95 component projects under the Steering Committee, including 35 road transport projects and 2 aviation projects. Since the establishment of the Steering Committee, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Head of the Steering Committee, has chaired 16 sessions and conducted multiple on-site inspections and meetings with localities to address difficulties, resolve bottlenecks and urge project progress. Ministries, sectors and localities have made significant efforts to implement assigned tasks, resulting in the resolution of many challenges and notable progress in project construction. In particular, 19 projects and component projects have been put into operation. Notably, 16 expressway routes under the Steering Committee’s project portfolio have been completed and operational, increasing the total length of the country’s expressways from 1,163 km (before 2021) to 2,268 km. Additionally, the connecting road and Terminal T3 of Tan Son Nhat International Airport have been put into operation. Currently, 52 projects and component projects are under construction, generally adhering to the planned schedules.

In Thai Nguyen province, the construction project of Ho Chi Minh Road, Cho Chu -Trung Son Junction section is underway, with approximately 12 km running through Thai Nguyen's territory. This is a category-B project with a total investment of VND 1,665 billion, scheduled for completion in 2025. At present, Dinh Hoa District has handed over the construction site to the project owner and the contractor, basically meeting the construction progress requirements.
At the meeting, ministries, sectors and localities reported on the progress of implementing key transport sector projects, identified difficulties and obstacles during implementation and discussed solutions to accelerate the progress of major works and projects.

In his concluding remarks at the Session, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh assigned tasks to ministries, sectors and localities, focusing on resolving difficulties, addressing bottlenecks and expediting investment preparation procedures for projects. The Prime Minister called on ministries, sectors, investors, contractors and localities to demonstrate greater determination and effort to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to the required quality standards.
The Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Construction to accelerate the implementation of Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong railway line and requested localities to remove obstacles and speed up site clearance and the exploitation of construction materials for projects, aiming to complete 3,000 km of expressways by 2025. At the same time, he called for thorough and quality preparation for the commencement and inauguration of large-scale projects to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The expected inauguration time is expected to be August 19, 2025.
