Up to now, PCI is still the most objective, official and prestigious index to evaluate and rank the governments of provinces and cities on the quality of economic management and building a favorable business environment for enterprise development. In other words, PCI ranking is the image, reputation, brand and investment environment of each province and city on a national basis. Therefore, improving indicators to improve PCI ranking is a multi-benefit goal that provinces and cities are striving to pursue and achieve.

Thanks to the drastic, flexible direction and administration and the efforts of the whole political and socio-economic system of Thai Nguyen province, the province continues to have strong prosperity in the first months of 2022. Industrial production continues to be the driving force of the province's growth.

Thai Nguyen province entered the implementation of the 2022 plan in the context of complicated developments in the country and the world. Along with the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, the impact of the Russia-Ukraine conflict has impacted the economies of many countries around the world. In the country, although the COVID-19 pandemic is basically under control, due to the increase in the prices of some input goods, especially gasoline and oil prices, there is a local shortage of human resources, affecting the production activities of businesses and people.

That was the focus of direction of Comrade Dang Xuan Truong, Member of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the Implementation of the Linking Road Project, connecting the provinces of Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang and Bac Giang and Vinh Phuc at the inspection of compensation and site clearance of the Project in Pho Yen city on the morning of September 15.

After the Prime Minister's Decision approving the task of provincial planning from May 2020, Thai Nguyen province has embarked on implementing the necessary tasks to develop a master plan with an innovative vision, which expresses the development aspirations of the center of the Northern midland and mountainous region.

Thai Nguyen is one of the leading provinces in the Northern midland and mountainous region in terms of industrial production. In 2021, industrial production maintained its growth momentum in which the processing and manufacturing industry continued to promote its role as the driving force of the whole industry. Industrial production value (at constant 2010 prices) reached over 844 trillion VND, an increase of 7.7% over the same period, equaling 100.38% of the plan. Thai Nguyen is always in the group of leading provinces and cities nationwide in terms of investment attraction and is an attractive destination for domestic and foreign investors.

On February 10, at the National Assembly House, the National Assembly's Law Committee held the 4th Plenary Session to comment on many important issues, including examining the Government's report on the establishment of wards in Pho Yen town and the establishment of Pho Yen city, Thai Nguyen province.

The functional branches of the province have advised the competent authorities to add five industrial clusters, including Thuong Dinh, Hanh Phuc - Xuan Phuong, Minh Duc 1, Tan Phu 1, Tan Phu 2, with a total area of 356 hectares to ensure land to attract investors and serve the industry and handicraft development.

On the morning of December 20th, Mr. Le Quang Tien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired an online working session with working Delegation of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Vietnam led by Mr. Cho Han Deog, Country Director of KOICA Office in Vietnam as the Head of the Delegation on the Project “Establishment of a sustainable waste management system in Thai Nguyen province through resource recovery and waste minimization”.

Phu Luong is a land that is favored by nature in terms of soils, water and climates, especially with more than 6,000 hectares of yellowish red ferralitic soil, which is suitable favorable conditions for tea plants to grow. Over the years, Phu Luong district has always been interested in improving the tea products’ productivity and quality in the district, gradually contributing to affirming and enhancing the reputation of the tea brand.

On the morning of December 23, Mr. Duong Van Luong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the Conference to evaluate the results of agricultural production in 2021 and implement the plan in 2022. The conference was held online from the broadcast point of the Provincial People's Committee with broadcast points of 9 districts, cities and towns.

On December 16, at the Headquarters, the National Assembly Delegation, the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, Mr. Dang Xuan Truong - member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee welcomed and worked with Mr. Victor Stepanov – the first Secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Vietnam, Chief Representative of the Russian Cooperation Agency, Director of Russian Center of Science and Culture in Hanoi (photo).

In Seoul on the afternoon of December 13, within the framework of an official visit to Korea, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue attended the Vietnam - Korea Business Forum. The forum was co-organized by the Ministry of Planning and Investment in collaboration with the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea and the Federation of Korean Industries in the form of online combined with offline one.

Recently, at the presence of the head of state, Ministry of Labor - War Invalids and Social Affairs, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the announcement and honoring Ceremony of sustainable businesses in 2021 was held at Sheraton Hanoi Hotel.

On December 2, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Employment Service Center coordinated with Bac Ninh, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang, Cao Bang, Son La, and Thanh Hoa to organize an online employment session that connects between workers and employers.

On the morning of December 2, Mrs. Nguyen Thanh Hai, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation attended the inauguration ceremony of Dongwha Vietnam Factory in Song Cong 2 Industrial Park. Attending the inauguration ceremony was Mr.Duong Van Luong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of a number of provincial departments and sectors, leaders of Song Cong City.

On November 30, the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association in Thai Nguyen province celebrated the 46th Anniversary of the National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (December 2, 1975 - December 2, 2021) and summarized the conference work in the middle of term 2019 - 2021. Attending the conference were representatives of leaders of a number of departments, sectors and agencies of the province.

In recent years, the socio-economic development of Thai Nguyen province has made remarkable progress. Thai Nguyen has become the new growth pole of the region and the whole country. Transportation infrastructure, especially the external transportation infrastructure system plays the important role in contributing to that achievement.

In the 1st of November afternoon, Mr. Trinh Viet Hung, Alternate member of the Central Committee, Deputy Party Secretary, The Chairman of Provincial Peoples Committee chaired a difficulty solving, manufacture promoting for enterprises; present a certificate of merit to excellent organizations and individuals in conducting the 11th Politburo’s Resolution No. 21/NQ/TW on November 11st 2012 about intensifying the leadership of the Party with social insurance and health insurance in the period 2012-2020. The conference's participants included Mr. Le Quang Tien, Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee; representatives of relevant Departments, Agencies and sectors and the leaders of Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen Co., Ltd (SEVT); Samsung Electro - Mechanics Vietnam Co., Ltd (SEMV) and some FDI enterprises in Thai Nguyen.
