The Conference was attended by Comrade Nguyen Thanh Binh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with leaders from the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Finance, the Management Board of Industrial Parks and Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communication Technology.

In his directive speech at the Conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huy Dung emphasized: The construction and operation of the Yen Binh Concentrated IT Park is of particular importance, contributing to the realization of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in developing science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. Phase 1 of the Scheme is planned with an area of approximately 200 hectares, oriented to become an attraction for investors in high-tech and innovation fields. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the establishment of a dedicated working group to implement the Scheme, led by the Department of Science and Technology, in coordination with the Department of Finance, Management Board of Industrial Parks and Thai Nguyen University of Information and Communication Technology. The Scheme needs to clarify the differences between the Concentrated IT Park and traditional industrial parks. In addition, the Scheme must clearly identify strategic technology fields to attract investment, such as: Semiconductor technology, UAVs - unmanned aerial vehicles, robotics, software, digital content, graphics and digital art... These fields are consistent with the spirit of Resolution 57 and the province's development orientation.

Perspective of Yen Binh Concentrated IT Park

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also noted that priority should be given to selecting capable investors to materialize the goals and ensure effective operation of the Concentrated IT Park. At the same time, the Scheme must clearly state legal commitments on occupancy rates as a basis to bind the responsibilities of infrastructure investors. The goal is to build the Yen Binh Concentrated IT Park into a typical innovation model of Thai Nguyen, contributing to making the province a center for technology development and digital transformation in the Northern Midlands and Mountainous region.
