Delegates attending the Conference
In 2024, thanks to effective coordination between relevant agencies and customers, Thai Nguyen Power Company (PC Thai Nguyen) developed a detailed power supply plan, minimizing the impact of load shedding on the national grid and ensuring a stable electricity supply for major industrial zones such as Yen Binh, Diem Thuy, Song Cong I, Song Cong II, and Gang Thep. The province’s peak power load reached 1,082 MW.
Looking ahead to 2025, electricity demand is projected to increase sharply, with an additional 200–300 MW of registered capacity. To meet this demand, PC Thai Nguyen is expediting key projects such as the Phu Binh 2 220kV substation, new 110kV transmission lines, rooftop solar and wind power development, and mobilizing diesel generators from enterprises when necessary.
During discussions at the Conference, customers highly appreciated PC Thai Nguyen’s coordination and electricity supply efforts in recent times. They also proposed that the power sector continue investing in infrastructure to ensure a stable power supply for production and business activities. Additionally, enterprises expressed their hope for more flexible policies regarding load adjustment and incentives to encourage participation in the Demand Response (DR) program.
