Mr. Kang Sung Hyun, Global CEO of Lotte Mart, Expresses Desire to Invest in a Hypermarket in Thai Nguyen

Impressed by the development of Thai Nguyen province, Mr. Kang Sung Hyun, Global CEO of Lotte Mart, affirmed that Thai Nguyen is one of the most attractive destinations for Korean enterprises seeking investment opportunities. The development of Samsung in Thai Nguyen has been and continues to be a testament to the province's flexible leadership and management, its favorable investment environment and conditions, as well as its effective investment attraction policies.

Providing information on the formation and development of Lotte Mart Group and its brand in Vietnam and globally, Mr. Kang Sung Hyun emphasized that with its large scale, professionalism, modernity, and high-quality standards, Lotte Mart has established a vast supermarket chain in many countries worldwide and has become a favored shopping destination for Vietnamese consumers. The Global CEO of Lotte Mart expressed his strong desire to invest in and promptly launch a hypermarket in Thai Nguyen to meet the growing consumer demands of the local population and neighboring provinces.

Comrade Trinh Viet Hung, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, affirmed: Thai Nguyen is ready to welcome and provide the most favorable conditions for Lotte Mart to establish a hypermarket in Thai Nguyen. 

Welcoming the delegation from Lotte Mart and Mr. Kang Sung Hyun to visit and explore investment opportunities in Thai Nguyen, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Trinh Viet Hung shared that Thai Nguyen has a substantial industrial sector, accounting for 60% of the province's total economic structure. In the near future, the province is set to establish six additional industrial parks covering over 4,300 hectares, which are expected to attract more than 400,000 workers to Thai Nguyen. As a result, the province's population is projected to exceed 2 million residents in the near future, not including the increasing number of tourists visiting Thai Nguyen. Therefore, the demand for a hypermarket is both necessary and urgent. Regarding transportation infrastructure, regional connectivity roads and expressways linking Lang Son, Tuyen Quang, Bac Kan, Vinh Phuc, and Bac Giang provinces have been, are being, or will soon be invested in and constructed. This will expand development opportunities in terms of both land and population, further enhancing Thai Nguyen’s position as a central province in the region. Expressing confidence in the reputation and market capability of Lotte Mart Group, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that Thai Nguyen province is fully prepared to welcome and provide the most favorable conditions for Lotte Mart to establish a hypermarket in Thai Nguyen.
