According to Thai Nguyen province industrial cluster (IC) development plan for 2021-2030 period approved by the Prime Minister, Thai Nguyen province has 41 ICs with a total area of 2,067 hectares. Currently, 27 out of 41 ICs have been established with a total area of 1,073 hectares; total registered capital is VND 10,898 billion, with the cumulative amount spent on site clearance and infrastructure construction estimated to reach approximately VND 3,884 billion by the end of April 2025 (an increase of VND 124 billion compared to March). There are 13 operational ICs, attracting 75 projects/production facilities, with 59 out of 75 projects/production facilities currently in operation. The total revenue of investment projects in industrial clusters in 2024 was VND 10,612 billion; attracting 11,738 workers; contributing an estimated VND 176 billion to the state budget in 2024; the average occupancy rate of operating ICs reached 56%.

Business representatives highly appreciated the province's active involvement in accompanying and supporting businesses in implementing investment procedures; while also discussing certain difficulties and proposing recommendations for the province to help resolve issues related to land lease procedures and site clearance. Additionally, businesses also requested relevant units to coordinate in accelerating the implementation of electrical infrastructure, water supply and drainage and connecting transportation systems, thereby supporting the acceleration of investment projects that have broken ground and attracting investment to ICs.

Emphasizing the important role of IC development in promoting local economic growth, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, agencies and localities to consider the businesses' feedback and actively coordinate to solve difficulties related to copensation, site clearance and resettlement; while also assigning staff to serve as points of contact with businesses to facilitate administrative procedures. Regarding the province's responsibilities, the Provincial People's Committee will issue specific directives to each locality, especially those with numerous ICs, to address difficulties of individual projects. She also requested secondary businesses that have been granted investment certificates to accelerate implementation; while asking the Electricity Company and Clean Water Company to coordinate with businesses to prevent bottlenecks in project implementation.
