Many OCOP products, strong and typical local products were displayed at the "Thai Nguyen Industry-Trade and OCOP Fair 2024" held in late April 2024
Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Chairmen of the People's Committee of districts and cities to direct district-level OCOP product evaluation and classification councils to improve the quality of OCOP product evaluation and classification in accordance with regulations, ensuring objectivity, openness and transparency. They must absolutely avoid pursuing quantity and reject products that do not meet requirements. They should review, evaluate and re-classify expired OCOP products according to regulations, while publicly announcing OCOP products that have expired but have not been re-certified. They must decisively recall OCOP products that do not meet quality standards, food safety and environmental sanitation requirements. They should promote communication and awareness campaigns for OCOP entities, distributors and consumers about product value and OCOP logo, contributing to improving the quality and brand of OCOP products in the market.

The Sub-department of National Agro, Forestry, Fisheries Quality Assurance (Department of Agriculture and Rural Development) strengthened training for entities
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to strengthen training on OCOP product management, inspection, supervision and logo usage for management officials at all levels and OCOP entities. Simultaneously, direct the New Rural Development Coordination Office (Standing Agency of Thai Nguyen's OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Council) to collaborate with members of the Advisory Team and relevant agencies to improve the quality of advisory work for the Council's evaluation and classification of products according to regulations ensuring objectivity and guide entities to use OCOP logos according to product types and star ratings approved by competent authorities. Additionally, lead and coordinate with relevant agencies to closely monitor and supervise the use of OCOP logos and labels for products rated three stars and above, particularly focusing on products that have expired (36 months) without re-certification or have changed star ratings after re-evaluation. Decisively handle and widely disseminate information to consumers, distributors and market management authorities about entities that intentionally violate regulations.
The Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Health and the Market Surveillance Department of the Province, based on their assigned functions and duties, should strengthen inspection and management of OCOP products in the market according to regulations, strictly handling entities with violating OCOP products (if any). Additionally, the Department of Science and Technology shall lead and coordinate with relevant agencies to strengthen management and use of trademarks, stamps, barcodes related to OCOP products in the province.
