During his visit to Thai Nguyen on the last day of 1963, Uncle Ho took time to go to the provincial Party School and reminded teachers and students to teach well, learn well, strengthen training to improve political mettle and be ready to take on tasks when the Party needed and when assigned by the organization.

Engraving his teachings, over the past 60 years, generations of officials, lecturers, staff and students of the School have made efforts to build the Provincial School of Politics as a reliable address for training and fostering leaders and managers of the grassroots political system; officials, civil servants and local public employees in political - administrative theory.

Thai Nguyen Province School of Politics, formerly known as Thai Nguyen Province Party School, was established on July 4, 1957. Throughout its development and maturity, the School has consistently emphasized enhancing the quality of training and nurturing as its foremost objective. This emphasis includes a focus on cultivating a cadre of leaders and managers with robust political integrity, revolutionary ethics, a profound understanding of political and administrative theories, specialized knowledge, leadership and management skills, innovative thinking, foresight and the ability to rally and consolidate forces to effectively organize and implement the Party's directives, the state's policies and laws and local regulations. Simultaneously, synchronized measures have been implemented to improve the quality and effectiveness of cadre training and nurturing. This involves an emphasis on practical application of work-related skills within specialized training programs, enhancing the ability to creatively apply theoretical knowledge to resolve real-life situations.

As a result, the training and nurturing work at the institution consistently undergoes innovation in content, operational methods, ranging from curriculum development closely tied to practical needs and the student body. The program content is specifically tailored with the principle of integrating theory with practice, combining learning with doing. Courses are structured scientifically, intertwining theoretical study with discussions, practical research, drafting plans and reporting on practical topics. There's a heightened emphasis on innovating teaching methods towards a more proactive and learner-centered approach. The School Board has directed lecturers to proactively update their knowledge, perspectives and the latest regulations of the Party and the State, ensuring a better fulfillment of the training and nurturing mission. Faculty members continuously innovate their teaching methods, ensuring that their lesson plans meet the requirements set by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and are confirmed by the Department Head and approved by the School Board. Annually, the institution has trained and nurtured thousands of students. In 2023 alone, the institution organized and collaborated to conduct training for 62 classes, with over 3,600 students across various programs: Intermediate Political Theory, Advanced Political Theory, specialized training for officials at different levels, from specialists to senior specialists and training for leaders and managers at departmental levels or equivalents, as well as specialized training based on job titles...

The scientific research and practical review of the School continue to have positive changes. The quality of research projects has been elevated, meeting both theoretical and practical demands to supplement and apply these findings to the institution's training and nurturing activities. The School Board advocates to continue improving the quality, efficiency and practical applicability of scientific topics. 100% of lecturers are required to conduct scientific research in accordance with regulations of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

From 2022, the School carries out the task of building Thai Nguyen Province School of Politics to meet standards according to Scheme No. 11-DA/TU dated December 31, 2021 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee. Up to now, compared with the standard criteria level 1, the School has achieved 47/55 criteria. Specific responsibilities have been delegated to each department, division and individual in charge of the relevant aspects pertaining to the school's documentation in accordance with regulations. This ensures alignment with job positions and clearly delineates the responsibilities of individuals and groups in the process of standardizing the School.

Mrs. Nguyen Thu Huyen, Rector of the Provincial School of Politics said: Promoting the achievements and embodying President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, in the coming period, the institution will continue to implement a comprehensive set of measures to enhance the quality and effectiveness of cadre training and nurturing. This involves reinforcing quality management in training and nurturing, emphasizing and bolstering the practical application of work-related skills within specialized training programs. We aim to enhance the ability to creatively apply theoretical knowledge to effectively resolve real-life situations. Quality improvement will go hand in hand with the expansion of training types and methods, aligning closely with the resolutions of Party congresses at all levels. We strive to ensure that the Provincial Political School achieves Level 1 standards by 2024 and achieves Level 2 standards before 2030... to truly live up to President Ho Chi Minh's teachings from 60 years ago.
