The contest took place in 2 days (November 18 and 19) with the participation of 160 actors from 8 provinces and cities in the Northeast: Tuyen Quang, Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Hanoi, Lang Son, Bac Giang. At the contest, each team participated in 4 parts including: Greeting, multiple-choice, situation and propaganda skit.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Comrade Y Thong, Deputy Minister, Deputy Head of the Ethnic Affairs Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee highly appreciated the efforts of the contestants of 8 teams who elaborately staged and actively practiced to get the best results at the contest. At the same time, He emphasized that through the contest, there will be an enhancement in the understanding of Party policies and state laws among officials, citizens, and effective implementation in the areas of ethnic minorities in the Northeast region. Concluding the contest, the collectives and individuals with their sense of responsibility will continue to be the core of the local Law Club, and each participant will be an active legal advocate in the community where they reside. This will further promote legal advocacy to reach every individual and integrate into daily life.

The Understanding Contest of Laws on Ethnic Affairs in the Northeast region in 2023 serves as an activity aimed at enabling each locality to evaluate and further enhance the dissemination and promotion of legal knowledge. It contributes to the effective implementation of the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas from 2021 to 2030. Moreover, it aids in the sustainable development of ethnic minority mountainous regions in the Northeast.

After 2 exciting days of the Contest, Thai Nguyen province won the first prize; Hanoi city and Bac Giang province won the second prize; Bac Kan, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang, Quang Ninh provinces won the third prize.
