Scene of the Historical Relic of the Site where the Second National Salvation Squad was established
Khuon Manh Forest, located in Trang Xa Commune, Vo Nhai District, has rugged terrain and was once a clandestine area of operation for revolutionary cadres and guerrillas. It was also a hiding place for our people to avoid the terrorist manhunts of the French colonialists during the revolutionary and resistance years. On September 15, 1941, the establishment ceremony of the Second National Salvation Squad took place here, marking a milestone in the resilient revolutionary struggle of our Party and people in the national liberation cause for independence and freedom.
The project has a total investment of VND 14 billion from the revenue capital to regulate after-tax profits of some enterprises under the Ministry of National Defense, additional capital of the 1st Military Region and Thai Nguyen Province People's Committee. The project includes many work items such as: Rest hut with an area of 28 m², the campus of the Memorial cluster, Memorial pillars; shelter for plaques, exhibition, ceremonial arrangement; internal road courtyard; parking lot....

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony
Speaking at the program, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh emphasized: The project of renovating and embellishing Historical relic of the Site where the Second National Salvation Squad was established has very important political and historical significance. He requested that relevant departments, committees and units should promptly carry out compensation and land clearance work, ensuring timely handover of cleared land to the construction unit; effectively manage and protect the historical site; and disseminate information and mobilize the community to preserve and promote the value of the site, avoiding exploitation and encroachment on the forest beyond regulations that would compromise its originality and current state. Additionally, he urged for coordination, support, and favorable conditions to be provided to investors and contractors to ensure the completion of the project on schedule, meeting the needs of the people for visiting and tourism.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his hope that in the coming time, Thai Nguyen province would continue to receive the support and assistance of the Ministry of National Defense, boards, ministries, central agencies, organizations, individuals, philanthropists and people inside and outside the province in the preservation, embellishment and promotion of the cultural heritage values in the province.
