In 2023, in the context of general difficulties of the steel industry, the Party Committee, the Board of Directors and the General Director of the Company drastically focused on directing and synchronously implementing solutions to promote existing advantages and internal resources, regulate production to control inventory, maintain production to meet consumption demand, cost savings, cost reduction, and efforts to sustain jobs and income for workers. The company underwent restructuring, aligning the workforce with the production model and actual conditions to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. There was a strong emphasis on directing product consumption efforts, applying technical solutions, enhancing quality control to reduce costs, and implementing flexible support mechanisms for key projects in Thai Nguyen province and other provinces. The company continued to excel in occupational safety and environmental protection, implementing directives as required by higher-level management to address challenges and obstacles in the Phase 2 Project. Simultaneously, it continued to implement the provisions outlined in Conclusion 167/KL-TTCP dated February 14, 2019, from the Government Inspectorate regarding the Phase 2 Project.

In 2023, the industrial production value of the Company reached VND 9,451 billion, equivalent to 104% of the annual plan. Production rolled steel surpassed 640 thousand tons, with over 639 thousand tons of consumed rolled steel, generating total revenue of nearly VND 13,400 billion, achieving 107% of the annual plan. The Company contributed VND 215 billion to the budget, providing jobs for nearly 3,400 workers, with an average salary of VND 9.2 billion, equal to 114% of the annual plan.

In order to successfully complete the task in 2024, the Company needs to continue to focus on implementing solutions in management, administration and solutions to save costs, increase consumption, ensure efficient and stable production and business operations, maintain jobs, income stability and care for the material and spiritual well-being of the workers...

He proposed that the Company continues to review and evaluate production and consumption targets for 2024, with a focus on maintaining stable and efficient production, ensuring jobs for workers, and implementing breakthrough solutions to conclusively resolve the Phase 2 Project of Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Joint Stock Corporation. He emphasized that 2024 marks a pivotal and significant year, thus urging the collective workforce of Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Joint Stock Corporation to display determination, exert significant efforts, and uphold a high sense of responsibility to excellently fulfill the assigned tasks.
