Regional Connection Road Project: Road section linking Ring Road V to Hoa Son Bridge completed on November 15, 2024

Hoa Son Bridge spans across Cau River, connecting Hiep Hoa district (Bac Giang province) with Dong Cao ward, Pho Yen city (Thai Nguyen province). The construction of Hoa Son Bridge opens a direct transport route connecting Pho Yen city, Thai Nguyen province with Hiep Hoa district, Bac Giang province; reduces travel time and enhances traffic safety; replaces the traditional dangerous ferry transport (Cha ferry station) that failed to meet transportation demands. Additionally, it expands land reserves in Dong Cao, Tan Huong and Dong Tien wards (Pho Yen city), connecting with major traffic routes (Hanoi - Thai Nguyen Expressway; Ring Road 5 of Hanoi Capital Region) and Yen Binh Industrial Service Urban Area, Samsung Factory...

Previously, on October 16, 2024, the Provincial Party Standing Committee conducted a field inspection of the Project's construction progress. Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Viet Hung directed that the road section connecting Ring Road V of Hanoi Capital Region to Hoa Son Bridge must be completed before November 15, 2024. Following the direction of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Provincial People's Committee leadership, Thai Nguyen Province Transport Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor) has decisively implemented various measures and solutions, including: Requiring contractors to establish detailed construction plans and sign weekly progress commitments with the investor for monitoring purposes; directing supervision consultants and contractors to increase machinery, equipment and manpower, implementing night-shift construction to accelerate progress; regularly monitoring the construction site, working with contractors and local authorities to promptly resolve difficulties regarding land clearance, material sources... As of November 15, 2024, the road section connecting Ring Road V to Hoa Son Bridge has been completed.

The road section connecting Ring Road 5 with Bac Giang province was opened to traffic 13.5 months ahead of the project's overall schedule, establishing a direct transport route between Pho Yen city, Thai Nguyen province and Hiep Hoa district, Bac Giang province. The remaining sections of the regional connection road are expected to be completed by March 31, 2025, 09 months ahead of the approved project schedule.

The investor and contractors are mobilizing human and material resources to complete components according to the set schedule

At the inspection, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huy Dung highly appreciated the responsibility of the investor and contractors in accelerating construction progress while ensuring safety throughout the construction process. The Chairman also requested the investor to intensify supervision of the remaining components' implementation according to committed schedules.
