The Opening Program of 2025 Thai Nguyen Province Tourism Season carries great significance, being organized at the precise time when localities nationwide are actively implementing Official Telegram No. 34/CĐ-TTg dated April 10, 2025 of the Prime Minister on promoting tourism development, ensuring double-digit economic growth rates and the Vietnam Tourism Stimulus Program in 2025.

In his opening speech for 2025 Thai Nguyen Province Tourism Season, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Binh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Tourism Development Steering Committee, emphasized Thai Nguyen Province's strategically important position as a gateway and exchange center between the northern midland and mountainous regions with the Red River Delta region; as well as being a land rich in tourism potential alongside its industrial development strengths. Currently, Thai Nguyen Province is focusing on developing high-quality tourism and resort products to effectively exploit the Nui Coc Lake Tourist Area and the eastern slope of Tam Dao, highlighted by the first 6-star international resort in Northern Vietnam being actively developed by Flamingo Group; and two golf course projects, Glory Golf and Tan Thai Golf, which will begin operations in 2025. Additionally, as a region known as the "No. 1 Famous Tea Land", Thai Nguyen is also focusing on promoting the cultural and economic value of tea plants linked to tourism development, concentrating on building four tourism product lines associated with tea culture including: Cultural, spiritual, historical and heritage tourism; ecological and resort tourism; community and rural tourism; and MICE, sports and adventure cave exploration tourism.
He said that, implementing the Politburo's resolution on developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector and the Prime Minister's directive on promoting tourism development toward the goal of making tourism an important economic sector, Thai Nguyen Province has actively implemented plans and specific action programs to accelerate tourism development with the motto "Distinctive Products - Professional Services - Convenient and Simple Procedures - Competitive Prices - Clean and Beautiful Environment - Safe, Civilized and Friendly Destination”. He expressed hope that the Tourism Season Opening Ceremony and the Thai Nguyen Province Cultural, Sports and Tourism Week 2025 will bring visitors and citizens an impressive, interesting and complete experience with all the colors of Thai Nguyen land and people.
| Thai Nguyen Province currently has over 1,000 inventoried historical and cultural relics, including one special national-ranked relic comprising 13 relic sites; 59 nationally ranked relics and 242 provincially ranked relics. The province is also home to nearly 300 traditional craft villages and over 300 OCOP products rated between 3 and 5 stars. It is inhabited by 51 out of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups, whose cultural heritage values have been preserved, passed down through generations and remain vividly present in the material and spiritual lives of the people. Additionally, 23 intangible cultural heritages of the province have been inscribed in the National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage. Thai Nguyen is also renowned for its lush green mountains, clear blue waters and a wealth of scenic landscapes and culturally and historically significant relics bestowed by nature and history. Notable sites include: ATK Dinh Hoa Special National Historic Site; Ly Nam De Relic Site; the National Historic Site commemorating the Youth Volunteers of Company 915, Team 91 Bac Thai, all of which are considered “red addresses” that play a significant role in revolutionary education. Other prominent locations include Than Sa archaeological site, Cultural Museum of Vietnam Ethnic Minority Groups and Thai Hai Reserve Area of Ecological Houses-on-stilts Ethnic Village, recognized by the World Tourism Organization as one of the 32 “Best Tourism Villages in the World” and one of Vietnam’s two 5-star national-level OCOP tourism products. These outstanding destinations play an important role in preserving and promoting the unique traditional cultural identity of the ethnic communities in the province. |

During the program, delegates performed the button-pressing ceremony to officially open Thai Nguyen Province's 2025 Tourism Season. On this occasion, Thai Nguyen Province People's Committee issued decisions recognizing provincial tourism sites for 2 locations: Hao Huc Village in Phuc Tan Commune, Pho Yen City and Suoi Coc Homestay in Phuc Triu Commune, Thai Nguyen City.
The highlight of the Opening Ceremony was the welcoming artistic program featuring many distinctive performances rich in national cultural identity. Particularly impressive was the Vietnamese ethnic ao dai fashion show, which brought freshness and attraction, leaving a lasting impression on delegates, tourists and local citizens.
Along with the Opening Ceremony of 2025 Thai Nguyen Province Tourism Season, Thai Nguyen Province is also organizing a Cultural, Sports and Tourism Week featuring many unique and attractive tourism events such as: Operating a tourist train from Hanoi to Thai Nguyen; exhibiting beautiful photos of Thai Nguyen's culture, sports and tourism; organizing exhibition spaces to introduce and promote tourism products, Thai Nguyen culinary excellence and intangible cultural performances; organizing Famtrip delegations to survey tourism destinations in the province; hot air balloon demonstrations; and ornamental creature exhibitions. Additionally, there will be a series of national-level sports competitions including: The 2025 National Yoga Club Championship; the 2025 National Traditional Martial Arts Club Championship; Vietnam-North Korea martial arts exchanges; Traditional Boat Racing Championship - National Stand-up Paddleboard Championship for Outstanding Paddlers 2025; the 2nd Bat Kiet, Bat Tien - Huong Tra Thai Nguyen Chinese Chess Championship 2025...

| In 2025, Thai Nguyen aims to welcome 6.2 million visitors, including 250,000 international tourists, with total tourism revenue reaching approximately 6,120 billion VND. To achieve this goal, the province will synchronously implement many tourism stimulus activities. The Tourism Season Opening Ceremony marks the beginning of a series of cultural, sports and tourism events taking place throughout 2025, aimed at introducing and promoting the image of the land, people and cultural heritage values of Thai Nguyen to domestic and international visitors; promoting the tourism potential and strengths of the province, contributing to stimulating Thai Nguyen's tourism development, creating domestic and international competitiveness and soon making tourism an important economic sector of the province. |
