I am a child of Thai Nguyen - a homeland in the Northern midland and mountainous region, a place of lush green tea hills, where the former war zone once served as a revolutionary base, a steadfast cradle sheltering the Party and Uncle Ho during the most difficult years of the resistance war and nation building.

During these historic days of May, when every corner of the country eagerly commemorates the birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh - the beloved father of our nation, I had the opportunity to visit Uncle Ho's maternal homeland in Hoang Tru village, Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district, Nghe An province along with a delegation from ATK Thai Nguyen revolutionary base area.

In recent years, Dinh Hoa district has been focusing on and supporting local people to expand cultivation areas and gradually improve product quality. This not only helps increase tea production and enhance the value of tea products but also contributes to building the Dinh Hoa tea brand. The support for local people in developing tea cultivation has achieved significant success, contributing to local economic development and improving residents' living standards.

Tea is not only a crop that produces a specialty product but also the cultural soul, economic symbol and pride of Thai Nguyen people. The writing competition "A Hundred Years of No. 1 Famous Tea" is a widespread invitation to tea lovers and those who appreciate Vietnamese culture to spread authentic and profound stories about this No. 1 famous tea region.

On the evening of April 26, at Van Xuan Square (Pho Yen City), Thai Nguyen Province People's Committee held the Opening Ceremony of 2025 Thai Nguyen Province Tourism Season with the theme "Experience the Tea Land, imbued with identity".

Right on schedule, at this time of year, localities with tourism development strengths nationwide have immediately engaged in tourism stimulus activities to kick off the 2025 tourism season. Exactly 75 years ago (April 21, 1950 - April 21, 2025) in Roong Khoa hamlet, Diem Mac commune, Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen province, under the leadership of the Party and Uncle Ho, the first generations of journalists united and came together under an organization that embodied the spirit and integrity of journalism - the Association of Vietnamese Journalists (predecessor of the Vietnam Journalists Association).

The Resolution was promulgated on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, a significant milestone that underscores the Party’s strong leadership in promoting the growth of Thai Nguyen tea industry.

Thanh Ninh Commune (Phu Binh) was one of the Central Safe Zones during the resistance war against French colonialism. Upholding its revolutionary traditions, the Party Committee, local government and people of this area have been consistently striving to build a prosperous life and develop their homeland in recent years.

Thai Nguyen tea has long been renowned as the "No.1 Famous Tea" of Vietnam, conquering consumers with its elegant young rice aroma, mild astringency, and lingering sweet aftertaste. However, facing fierce competition, the issue of counterfeit tea, and the influx of foreign brands, this prestigious Vietnamese tea is encountering significant challenges. More than just an agricultural product, Thai Nguyen tea must be elevated into a tea culture, closely linked to the art of tea appreciation and a refined lifestyle. Therefore, protecting the brand, enhancing quality, innovating packaging, and expanding into international markets are crucial factors for its sustainable growth. With strategic and well-structured direction, the Thai Nguyen tea industry not only creates economic value but also aspires to become a "Billion-Dollar" crop, contributing significantly to the province's development.
