Recognition of Dai Tu District meeting advanced new rural standards and Phu Luong District meeting new rural standards in 2024

Dai Tu District organized the "Dai Tu Tourism - The Spreading of Tea Fragrance" program while announcing the decision on recognizing communes as meeting Advanced NR standards in 2024 at Cau Da tea hill, Hoang Nong Commune.
Specifically, under Decision No. 1146/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister recognizes Dai Tu District as meeting Advanced NR standards in 2024. Under Decision No. 1147/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister recognizes Phu Luong District as meeting NR standards in 2024.
The Prime Minister assigned Thai Nguyen Province People’s Committee to make the official announcement and grant rewards in accordance with regulations. The Committee is also tasked with directing the People’s Committees of two districts to continue maintaining and enhancing the quality of NR criteria, with a particular focus on economic and environmental indicators to ensure sustainable NR development.

Dai Tu District was recognized as meeting NR standards in 2023. Just one year later, the district has made significant progress toward achieving Advanced NR status. To date, all 25/ 25 communes in the district have been recognized as meeting NR standards for the 2021–2025 period; among them, 16 communes meet Advanced NR standards and 2 communes meet Model NR standards. Both Hung Son and Quan Chu towns have achieved civilized urban status. The district has also successfully developed 2 smart hamlet models and 1 smart commune model. Additionally, 100% of communes have automobile roads connecting to the district center and administrative hubs; 100% of households, hamlets and neighborhood groups are connected to the national power grid; all communes meet criteria for green - clean - beautiful landscapes; and 33 products have been recognized as OCOP products rated from 3 to 4 stars.

In Phu Luong District, after 10 years of implementing the National Target Program for NR development, all 12 communes now meet NR standards, including 3 communes meeting Advanced NR standards and 2 communes meeting Model NR standards. Du and Giang Tien towns are both recognized as civilized urban areas. Phu Luong leads the province in the number of Model NR hamlets, with 48 hamlets achieving this status. The district also has 3 smart NR hamlets and 35 products rated 3 stars or higher under the OCOP program. As of 2024, the district’s average per capita income reached VND 55.65 million and the poverty and near-poverty rate dropped to 4.46%. The infrastructure system has been comprehensively and modernly planned and upgraded; 100% of communes have standard asphalted or concreted roads to their centers; 94.8% of villages and hamlets have concreted lane and hamlet roads; and the intra-field transportation system has been fundamentally solidified, ensuring convenient conditions for production and travel.

The Prime Minister’s recognition of Phu Luong and Dai Tu districts as meeting NR and Advanced NR standards not only marks a significant milestone in their rural development journey but also serves as a testament to the decisive and comprehensive involvement of the entire political system, along with the unity and collective efforts of the local population. This recognition affirms the effectiveness of Thai Nguyen Province’s leadership and governance in implementing the National Target Program for NR development, aiming toward comprehensive, sustainable rural advancement and the improvement of both material and spiritual living standards for rural residents.
